About Me

I am Kenyan citizen by birth from Kericho County; I am the Last born child in a family of three children. I am married. Our father left us when we were too young and my mum carried all that she could manage to see us succeed in life. Two boys and one girl. I went to school at local primary school in the village where I did my Kenya certificate of primary education{K.C.P.E}in the year 2002 and later joined high school Kenya certificate of secondary education [K.C.S.E} in the year 2006. Challenges have been part and parcel of us first. being a single parent you are not entitled to any land ownership but thanks to the current constitution which gives all the right to own the land. My mum used to pluck tea in Uniliver and James Finlays Kenya so that she can gather for my education. I started my business of mobile banking in April 2012 just after completing my ICT studies’ I started it because I saw a demand in the mobile banking Industry . The earning from the business I use to increase my Float and gather for my welfare. I am also gathering for my brother's five year old son who separated. The young boy is currently in baby class and requires fees for his education. My mum also currently relies on me because she does not have a job and she is too old to work on contract terms.

My Business

I currently have a shop situated in Kericho county Formerly Kapsoit stage. The business provides services to any banking client within Kericho. I provide the following services in the business.
1. M pesa services
2. KCB Mtaani services
There is a lot of competition in town as many people have ventured into the same business but mine thrives because I provide quality services with good customer relation that I had developed over the last three years I had been in the business. My business generates between USD 50 to 120USD profit per month which I used to increase float, pay my school fess and gather for my welfare. Recently my brother separated with his wife and they left behind a young boy which I am taking care of. So zidisha loan will help me to increase float which will affect the following: increase in customer service. With the increase in the number of customers the commission ill thus increase. I chose the kind of business because most people don't like to go and queue in the bank so that they can bank the money but want something which is fast and time saving for them.

Loan Proposal

Thanks to all my Zidisha lenders wherever you are. My first loan enabled me to acquire the point of sale terminal for my mobile banking business. Which has greatly increased the number of clients that I serve per day. The challenge which I now still have is that the amount in till and in Bank sometimes cannot meet my client requirements either to make a deposit or a withdrawal thus making my business to reduce the amount of commission.
With the current loan of USD 616 it will allow me to increase the float account both in till and in bank thus making the business reliable to clients because in most of the time I end up telling the client that the money either in till or in bank is not enough to allow me to offer the service to them. Now that I have more clients to serve there is need also to have more money in till and in bank. Thus by giving me the amount requested will allow me to have both the amount required in till and in float account for the services to be offered. This will also increase the commissions made in the month by another 100USD from the previous 110USD. The income will thus allow me to fund my Schooling and expand the business to attain its limits and also to maintain my welfare. I have also managed to save so that I buy a small plot to build.
The amount requested will therefore be divided into two halves half in till and the other half in float.
