About Me

My name is Samuel Asibah,am a resident of Nakuru town in kenya. am in a family of 10. My father was the bread winner of the family. He was employed as a police officer. i personally remember going to school barefooted untill when i joined secondary school. Due to huge burden of the family i stopped my education in form three to pave way for my elder sister to continue with her education. i was doing some private studies at home for a whole year. I later joined form 4 at kabimoi high school where i passed my exam and joined the university of nairobi. i cleared the university and employed as a teacher. Am now taking care of my smaller brothers and sisters to complete their education and start some projects for themselves. I would like to train them in chicken rearing because am an expert in that field. This is the reason am joining this wonderfull community for assistance to raise their leaving standards. Am also intending to train some idle youths around this area

My Business

CHICKEN REARING
Am an expert in chicken rearing and i would like to start this wonderfull project at my current residence. I would like rear indegenous chicken because their products are marketable and are easily manegeable with some little starting capital.Am doing the business because the space required is small and the profit margin is huge. We also have the veterinary services easily available. With the amount am to raise with the community am intending to start a project of 50 chicken.Am expecting 220-270 eggs per year which translates to kshs1500 per bird per year. The operational cost is about kshs400. The profit will be used to expand the project. Later on i will start a growing of mashroom project which am also trained in.Am employed and i can repay my loan partly from my salary and partly from my profits. For my second loan am intending to diversify my projects to include 100 exotic chicken for eggs and buying resources required to start remedial classes for academic challenged students. The 100 birds will cost me $100 and they mature within 5 months. They are expected to produce for 18 months.Expected gross profit at the end of the period will be 80 egg x 540days x @ shs 10=shs 432,000, which is approximately $4320.The second project of specialised remedial session will involve buying of instructional materials which includes motivational audio visual materials,E-learning DVDS and varioous corse books. The initial cost is approximated to be $110. Each session with a student costs between $3-$5 and we meet twice a week. This will give betwwen $6-$10 per week per student.Per year am expecting approximately $8 per week x 4 students x40 weeks=$1280 per year. The profit will help to continue expanding my business and also to further my education at the University.

Loan Proposal

Buying a months old chicks and use minimum cost in managing the project.50 chicks for a start costing 100 dollars. I will top up by constructing the chicken house and buying local manufactured foods which have good nutritional value. I would like the project to assist in employing my brother and sisters who are jobless. As i have a vision in expanding the project to a larger scale, i would like to start a poultry centre where farmers can come and learn modern ways of farming free of charge. In the 4th month the egg production will resume. In 90% production i expect 14 dollars per day. At this time i would like to have introduced another flock of one month old chicks. And the profit will be increasing steadily. Afterwards more young people will be employed in the project.Mashroom production will be the next project on line.
