About Me

I am Priscilla Marcells, a young lady of 24 years. I was born in Keta in the Volta Region of Ghana. I live in Kumasi.
I grew up in Accra, the capital town of Ghana and while growing up I have always had love for fashion. I was always combining different color materials and clothes to get unique outfit. And due to this a lot of familly members and friends relied on me for their cloth combinations especially when going for weddings, outdoorings and other funtions.
I have a very positive attitude towards life and I believe fashion is the art and designers are the gods.
It has not been easy getting the support I need for my passion though. I had to pay for my own apprenticeship at a fashion school which I will be completing by December this year.
Thanks to the knowledge acquired, I have began making traditional African outfits for my neighbors under the condition that they advertise me and my works. Now I am getting a lot of requests from a lot of people and I really want to take my passion to the next level.
I love reading books on motivation and success stories. My favorite author is Robert Kiyosaki and favorite motivational speaker is Leslie Brown.

My Business

I sew local traditional African wear from home. I have ready and willing customers already lined up and also have a lot of orders for my designs. This is because society is now more appreciative of the beauty in our local outfits and jewelries. People now prefer attending most social functions such as weddings, funerals, outdoorings and even award shows adorned in local outfits.
The cost of making such outfits vary from GHS150 to GHS300 depending on the design and I charge between GHS250 to GHS400 therefore making a profit of GHS100 on the average.

Loan Proposal

I will buy an electrical industrial sewing machine that costs $150. With this machine I will be able to meet a lot of demand I am getting and this will also improve customer satisfaction since I can finish my works and deliver them to customers on time.
I expect to increase my profit per month from $100 or 400GHS to about $300 or 1,200 GHS with this machine.
