About Me

what mind thinketh so be it. I believe in entrepreneurship. My desire is to help others through my business. I own two matatus plying Thika road. I am an accountant by profession but business man by blood. I live in Nairobi and I like playing and watching soccer. I also like travelling. I find myself reading business articles most of my free time. I have strong leadership and management skills that instills and drives me to take risks in business. With the current unemployment rate in our country and high cost of living I believe self employment and job creation is a role that most of us should play in the modern society.

My Business

I have invested in the matatu industry. I own two Matatus. The industry is very competitive ranging from well maintained vehicles that attract customers easily and make good returns by the end of the day to price fluctuations which has to make the conductors to be aggressive and creative in wooing customers and deciding on the route to cover by the appropriate time. Police harassment is a challenge in the kenyan matatu industry. I intend to save and grow with Zidisha to assist me expand my business in future. I intend to spend about ksh 30,000 to repair one of my matatu that is wanting. I hope this will push my monthy net of ksh 60,000 to around ksh 70,000. I believe the Zidisha family will make me boost my business. I believe in a community of businee and mostly self employment.

Loan Proposal

I intend to replace the old seats with new ones in one of my matatu. This will help me to earn an upper hand in this competitive industry. It will add my daily revenue which will boost my net income from the transportation business. I intend to use about USD 100 to buy the seats and the remaining USD 50 for installation of the seats and small speakers for music. This will attract the millennial generation who ferry with modern matatus, music being part of their modern life. I kindly submit my humble application to the Zidisha lending fraternity to fund my project.
