I,am Agnes Nyambura, from Nakuru town.am the fifth born in a family of five.Born to mr. and mrs Nduru.i have a higher diploma in counseling psychology.after clearing my schooling i worked with an non governmental organisation in a children's home as a child specialist. i later decided to resign from my job and start my own business because i wanted to create job opportunities to other young people.i deal with ladies beauty products and i re-invest in my business.am a young hardworking and responsible lady.
I own and operate a shoes selling shop in Nakuru Town.I deal with both new and second hand shoes. The new shoes i purchases them from Kampala Uganda since they are cheaper there. The second hand shoes I buy them from Gikombaa Market Nairobi.
I major in women shoes since they are fast moving and cheaper compared to mens shoes. The larger percentage of my customer base are college going students, and young women who work in offices around my work place.
I make sales of about 300 US Dollars.I reinvest about 20% of this back into my business to add more stock and grow my business. The remaining 60 US Dollars I use to pay my shop's rent and electricity bill.
The major risk that my business faces is insufficient capital to invest with. I plan to use the loan I will obtain from Zidisha to invest more in my business and increase my sales hence the profits. Repayment of the loan will come from the sales made from the business.
Dear Lenders.
For the two years I have been in this shoe selling business, I have got to learn a lot about shoes.I can be able to tell which shoes I will buy and sell them fast and which I will make a bigger profit margin.
African Made sandals are a brand of shoes that are now selling very much here in Kenya, this is due to continues demand from a lot of people who want a bit of an African taste in their day to day fashion.
I plan to use the money you will entrust me with to buy different varieties and sizes of these sandals.I have Identified a whole seller who will sell me the sandals at $ 5,and I will comfortably sell them at $ 9.Leaving me a profit of $ 4 per shoe.
This way I will be able to repay the loan given to me and at the same time grow my shoes selling business.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
