About Me

I was born in the county of meru in Kenya, raised and educated in the same county. I was able to reach O levels due to financial difficulties as our father passed away when we were in secondary school. I appreciate the efforts our mother made for me and my siblings to at least to attain the little education she was able to offer. After secondary I also joined my mother in the struggle to support my two brothers and after they finished O levels I left for Naivasha, Kenya in search for better opportunities. I was able to secure a casual job with one of the flower farms and later resigned when I realized the potential in the market for growth if I joined private sector. I trained as a hairdresser and with the little savings I had I opened a saloon in one of estates in the town

My Business

As I have mentioned above when I started this business of saloon I had only 250 US dollars. I got the idea of also selling cosmetic alongside my hairdressing services but lacked capital to implement the idea. The business was doing well and I had customers who were sustaining the business but I could not satisfy them all because I don’t have all the equipments and enough stock to meet the demand in the market. Since last year 2013 I have been able to buy one drier and a browdry. The business is able to cater for its expenses but not much for me to expand the business and meet my needs.

Loan Proposal

When i get this loan, i will expand my business by increasing the beauty accessories stock worthy 36 US dollars,and put two more selves with 12 US dollars. This will help me improve my service by trying to make my shop meet the extra need for the customers.The extra profit i will get from the business i will use to re-invest again.This i believe will work for my business because most of the customers who get my services always demand for accessories to compliment their beauty.
