About Me
My name is Bernice Nartey and a young hardworking Ghanaian. I am a Senior high school Graduate. I loved literature right from my childhood days. i was so kind to dogs as a child that i could not go beat them even when they stole my fish..Growing up in a family of five and as the eldest of two boys was tough enough to grow me strong at early days. my mother was a trader and my father a pupil teacher so i lean to trade very early in life.
My goal in life is to grow my jewellery and earring business, to constantly develop myself and learn from my mistakes so as to be better day by day. I first started trading in women hair in 2010 but after a year i closed that business and turned it into this jewellery and specifically ear ring business that i am into now. I saw the market potentials and the demand and need.
I live in a compound house but in a quiet place though. there are a lot of trees too over there. love pets especially dogs. i listen to lots of music mostly country from Kenny Rodgers and others. i am very faithful with the little that people give me and due to this i am the treasure of our youth group in my locality.
My Business
I sell jewels, ear rings only but of many variety. i sell in bulk and single as well . so other traders do come to me, i give it to them on credit to which they travel into villages to sell and then they pay me back latter.
i chose this business because of the available market and it demand. however, it involves a lot of handwork as in sorting them out and all that.
Actually When ever i go for inventory, i make close to a 40% profit when all is sold and done. I make the most sales during market days which are twice in a week since my small shop is located in the heart of the market.
My last kid brother is still in school and since my father is retired now and my mom is also old now, i use part of the profit to take care of him in school and a small percentage goes to support my parents too, i live on part and save a small percentage and invest the rest into my business....

When my loan proposal is fully funded, i will invest all the money into my business or the entire amount i will receive into my business. i will divide it as follows;

This new inventory will strengthen my trade and help instill confidence in my business. it will be a major boost and the returns and profits will help myself and my family very much.
However, i expect my profit margin to increase to about 20% than what i am making now with this capital injection.
