About Me

My full name is Takyi Mends but people usually call me Alhaji. There was this beautiful lady(Muslim) in my area (during my Junior High School days) that i liked so much but said we can only be together only if i was a Muslim therefore my friends began to called me Alhaji in order to help me win her, that earned me that nickname.
I am my parents' second born among the three children that they have. Like most homes in Africa, i was not all rosy growing up but by God's grace i was favoured enough to complete my Senior High School education at Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School and later furthered it at a private tertiary school in Kumasi, Ghana.
I am very extrovert and i like to talk and express myself a lot. I am addicted to learining the best wat of communicating with people because i have realized interaction with people can really affect our lives both positive and negatively.
I enjoy watching tv and reading information on the internet.
I eat a lot; Emotuo with groundnut soup is my favourite dish. I also enjoy fruits a lot especially oranges.

My Business

I run a registered and licensed pharmacy shop in my residence, Brenyekwa, Berekum. It can be located just closer to the KIA station. My senior brother and I opened this shop but i am the only one in charge of it now and responsible for the day to day running of this noble pharmacy.
Initially we opened this pharmacy through the savings that we made during our days in tertiary institution and doing menial jobs during vacations. We chose to open a pharmacy because we loved that profession. Today we are very grateful for the pharmacy because our hard work and dedication has really paid off.
It has not only earned us a living but also saved lives of people in our community.
We sell drugs lilke folic acid, epiderm(cream for skin rashes).
Lumefanthrine which is an anti-malaria drug, Multi-vitamins, Arthemether injection and drugs and many more

Loan Proposal

I would like to request for a loan of $135 in order to stock my shop with more drugs. I would like to buy $76 worth of anti-malaria drugs like Arthemther/Lumefantrine. Malaria is one of the number killer ailment in Africa and anti-malaria drugs are on high demand and people buy it on daily basis. Arthemether/Lumefantrine is widely recommended and used in Ghana and by selling it I would be able to saves some lives and make profit as well to look after my family. I would also buy $59 worth of cough syrup which is equally on high demand. Cough syrup is widely used to help infants who are suffering from chronic coughs to enable them stay alive and continue their journey on earth; it is very much on demand and i feel i would do myself and my community a favor by purchasing more of that. The profit would be enough for me to repay the loan on time . Thank you
