About Me

my name is Linda Konama. i had my basic education at kato local Authority. that is what we call in Ghana class one to six. From there i moved to the JHS, which is junior high school. in Ghana from there you are now ready to enter what most countries call college, and we call it SHS, which is Senior High School. but i couldn't make it due to low marks scored, i was a weak student generally. My parents were ready to cater for me, but my head did not help me out. I joined my elder sister who was selling provisions like i do now in The capital of Ghana, which is Accra. i was there with her for nine years, and after that, i came back to Berekum and started my own shop, where i began the provision selling.

My Business

I sell provisional goods, like that we call it in Ghana. I hope by now many lenders have a fair idea of what selling provisions means in Ghana. I sell stuff like bread, milk, sugar, tin tomatoes, coca cola, margarine etc. These goods are daily consumables and irrespective of what your financial status is, you need it to keep going on daily basis, so it has become the basic necessity of many and the demand for it is increasing day by day. When i invest about $200 USD, within a week i can get a fair profit of about $30. The business is good because i have been doing it all the days of my life. i have three children and am a single parent, i look after my children with the profit i get from this business. Especially, it helps me pay their school fees.

Loan Proposal

When lenders show me their favor, i will buy items like bread jam, milk, tooth paste, drinks etc among others with the loan to cater for the ever increasing demand for my store. This loan will go a long way to improve my life, the standard of living and help me cater for my three children as am a single parent, it will also help me to meet the demand of my customers. When i get the loan ,i shall buy milk, vegetable oil and toothpaste for the first loan and resell soon to gain my profit and re invest again, and by that time, i will be able to repay the first loan which will help me get higher loans later to fully cater for my business demand, I can assure all lenders that, i will and can pay the loan when am given the offer. Thank you.

There were no payments from January 2019 to January 2021, when I finally gave up and transferred the loan to the Zidisha Members Loan Fund.

Please can you ask her to contact Zidisha to reschedule her payments to smaller, more manageable amounts, rather than making her payment record so bad like this. She should start paying something though, if she doesn't want her lenders to lose faith in her
