About Me

I am a 30 year old father of one.I was born in a family of three as the first born.Born in the countryside i went to a public primary school and performed very well where i secured a place in a provincial secondary school.I had a dream to be a businessman but due to lack of school fees i almost lost my dream.
I transferred my admission to a day school so that i could raise my fee from my parents farm, where we grew vegetables and sold to neighbors. With the processed i could support my self for food and transport. After finishing my high school i proceeded to college where i did a diploma in business management so that when i save up i could be able to run a business successfully.

My Business

I have a small second hand clothing shop in gikomba market.I buy half a bale per week and business is good.I am planning to start a rabbit farm along side because i have been getting orders and many people are looking for rabbit meat.So far i have saved up some proceeds from my current business and i have bought the material for the construction. The typical costs for these will be to buy the kittens , food and the roofing material.
I love farming and playing football as a hobby.I plan to use the profits to pay back to loan, expand the business and buy better varieties of rabbits which will also need some investment into research.

Loan Proposal

I will buy kittens at $40, Roofing material at $30 and food for the month at $40.These will ensure that i have atleast 20 rabbits in 3 months time which i can sell for $10 each and this will improve the health of my customers as this is white meat. Also I will be able to employ one worker who will be able to help me in the running of both businesses and also I will meet the demand for rabbit meat that is steadily growing as people become health conscious. I expect my profits to increase form $80 which i get from my clothes business to around $140 per month. These returns will help me expand my Rabbit business and also pay the worker who will be assisting me. I should be supported because I cannot be able to meet the costs of the farm single handedly due to the increased cost of farm inputs and construction materials and also cost of labor due to the increased standards of living in my country and especially Nairobi where I live.

Hello zidisha family.First I thank you all for the effort you put to transform lives of less privileged in the society.I also thank you for the funding of my previous rabbit business loan, which has been of great help to me.As I stated in previous comments,I now have 63 rabbits though most of them are still kids and am still in the breeding process before I start selling them.May be in the next one month or so I will start selling the rabbits. My t-shirts is still good apart from fire set back I suffered when our market(gikomba)cought fire last week, all in all I know the rabbit business will be able to transform my life and life of my family sooner. Am looking forward to expand it and even value adding the rabbits so that it can be of great importance to my community at large.

hello everyone! first things first i would like to thank all involved with zidisha, from lenders to the management team for the good work you have been doing.may the almighty God bless your work and the work of you hands. the loan i got from you, helped to kickstart my rabbit project.i purchased 6 iron sheets, 3 does and a buck and other building materials. i have not started selling the rabbits because am still in breeding stage but the number of rabbits have been increasing .i now have 31 rabbits and maybe God willing i will start earning from rabbits in the next 2 to 3 months time, because the market is very much available. am planning to use my earnings to expand on the rabbit business and my clothe business too and also allocate some funds for my college education.about my neighborhood......here in town there is much to talk about, its a semislum area, mathare to be specific. maybe we have a very talented football team, mathere united also talented musicians thats all.in the countryside maybe the most beautiful hotel maybe in the world.... yes Taffari hotel in nyandarua county, its the most beautiful place you can be right now i guess. to finish all this, i would like to thank everyone once again at zidisha for making more people realize their dreams by providing financial help and a interractive platform for people of different backgrounds.looking forward to work with you again, thank you in advance and God bless you all.
