About Me

My names are Ann Muthoni Kamunya and I am 39 years old.I come from a Christian family and i am a mother of four children.I am a wife to one husband called Mr.Musyoki.I did my O level education early in the 2000's and got a C+ in my K.C.S.E examinations.Since in our family,my father was the only bread winner,there was a huge burden to him for the four of us to be taken to good schools,which resulted me being taken to vocational college to train in short courses,while the rest of my brother and sister continue with their education.That is how i got myself in the Beauty industry.After i graduated in Hair& beauty therapy with a distinction from the Flamingo College, i was employed by a family friend in her salon in town to be working along with her.
After i worked for three and a half years on a commission basis,i had saved some money,where i had all reasons to open my own salon so that i can be getting all the profits instead of sub-dividing like how it was during employment.That is how i started this salon which until today it is still performing well despite some challenges.

My Business

I am a beautician by professional.I run a salon business here in Naivasha town,Kenya.My salon is called Precy fashion & beauty point.In my salon you can get services like,weaving,blow-drying,perm,curl-kitting,hair addition from various companies,re-touching among other services.My salon has been in operation for the last two and half year now and i am still working hard to make ladies looking beautiful.In this industry the demands for the services are ever high compared to other businesses,since the beauty of a woman is her hair.This had drived me to have my salon after i had saved for a while during my former employment.
Since my salon is in within town,in order for you to operate you must have a license issued from the local authorities(annually),and have a certificate from the fire-fighters given after they have inspected your business,and for this my business has.the certificate.
In my monthly revenue i can make a profit between Kshs.7,000 to Kshs.10,000.This makes me to have an urge to look for more capital so that i can add more new services like manicure and pedicure services as well as buying a shaving machine which i mostly lease from my neighboring salon.This mostly gives me a challenge which some times my customers complains about the hygienic standards of the shaving machines when i use to trim their hair when they come for the service.This is a challenge which through your kind support,i will make sure i fight with it through acquiring anew one for my salon.This will be possible through your kind considerations.Thank you in advance.
