I am Monica Akinyi, 55 years old, widow with 4 children. I was born and raised up in a very poor family, my mother used to be an housewife and my father a peasant farmer. We grew up in very hard condition of life as my parents could not manage to pay school fee for their children. I got married while I was 25 years old and lived with my husband for 20 years before he died as a result of Pneumonia related complications.
I am currently into food retail which enables me to earn good money to support myself and my children. My 1st born is in College and the last born is sitting for her final year year of primary education in November, 2015.
I started this business because there is a high level of demand in my area. My customers prefer my provision store as it offers quality goods and sweet bakeries.
I am convinced I will be able to repay the loan as I am the only person selling the products in the area and especially with schools re-opening soon I will be able to sell even more and make a very good profit to enable me repay the loan and feed my family
With this loan I will be able to expand my food shop.
I need to buy wheat flour that I am using the most. I will use KES 7,000 to buy 3 bales of wheat flour and KES 2,000 I will use to buy 20Litres of Liquid Cooking Oil for making the mandazis. These purchases will increase my profit by 20% and enable me to raise surplus income to repay the loan promptly.
The business is going well here but I need to increase my current stock and buy new products to keep up with the high demand. Thank you all in advance for your help, that is really appreciated.
