My name is Joan Cherono Rotich. I am 32 years old married and a mother of three.
I live with my family in Ngata village of Nakuru county. I was born and grew up in Ogilgei area- a village neibouring Ngata within the same county.
This is where I attended both primary and secondary schools but could not afford to study beyond form four.
Currently, i have a small retail shop at Ngata bridgeBaraka where i spend most of my time.
My hobbies are watching movies, travelling and nature walks
I own and ran a retail shop in Ngata bridge located along Nakuru- Eldoret highway.
I mainly sell fast moving domestic goods such as maize flour, sugar, rice, cooking oil, baking flour and detergents.
My husband is not employed and so we rely on this shop for food and any other income. I have been doing this for the past one year and has been a success so far.
For now most of the proceeds go to consumption making it hard to save for investments especially for improving the stock. The demand is good and to counter this and reduce costs by improving on the volume of goods i purchase.
I therefore plan to use the all the $100 loan in buying bulk goods and introduce new products to reduce costs and improve profits.
The daily proceeds will enable me repay the loan with ease.
