About Me

My name is Christine Kendi. I am a single mother taking care of my three kids - two boys and a girl. They are all in school and yet to figure out what they want to do in future.

I was born in a place called Meru and people there are farmers. They normally grow food crops such as maize and beans as well as cash crops like tea. I grew up there and went to the local schools. I moved to Mombasa after my secondary education where I am still living with my relatives.

My Business

My business deals with buying and selling of second hand clothes. I normally sell them to people who live around my estate. I have done this work for about 5 years and I hope to open a big clothes store in future.

My monthly income from this business is about USD 200 and this is what I use to sustain my family. I hope to keep increasing my stock so as to realize more profit because my needs are growing fast.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money to buy a new stock of clothes to sell during this peak season. This is the time most people spend a lot on clothes to mark the end of year festivities. I will use the money to buy ladies skirts and blouses which tend to be in high demand in this period.

I will use about USD 150 to buy the stock and I hope to get a profit margin of about USD 40 which will boost my business in a big way.
