About Me

My name is Samwel Gakunga, i live in Nakuru town and run a video coverage business and sell computer accessories. I decided to open my business after i finished studying mass communication due to the lack of professional video coverage services in Nakuru town because most of the people who were offering the services were not well trained.

My Business

I run a video coverage and editing business in Nakuru town. Most of the customers prefer my services to others due to the fact that i am trained in the field and the quality of my services. My monthly turnover is around 30,000/- Ksh..which after deducting my monthly expenses i manage to save around 3,000/-Ksh. Due to the high prices of hiring a professional camera i have decided to save up and buy my own professional camera.By the rate at which i have been saving it would take me around 10 years to be able to purchase a professional camera and so i am looking at ways of increasing the amount of savings per month, If granted this loan by Zidisha i intend to stock accessories in my shop which will include mini-Dv tapes, flash disks, photo paper among others and due to the fact that i know many people in the video and photography industry it would be easy to convince them to buy from me. The products i am intending to stock are in high demand and fast moving goods so i will be able to pay for the loan on time.My aim is to provide professional services and the best quality in town and be a market leader. I believe the dream of owning a professional camera is achievable through Zidisha. Thanks in advance

Loan Proposal

When i receive this loan i will be able to purchase flash disks and memory cards which retail between 5dollars to 16 dollars depending on their capacity and sell them at a profitable amount. This loan will enable me to stock more flash disks and memory cards with bigger capacities as they are on high demand and have a bigger profit margin compared to the once with small capacity. My ability to stock the flash disks with large capacities is limited by the fact that i don’t have enough money to do so and by you funding my loan this will be possible. My increased sales will enable me to double the amount that i have been saving to get a professional camera and you having financed this loan will have helped me achieve one of my long term goals.Thanks in advance.
