About Me

I was schooled in Ravine, both primary and secondary school. Later l joined college in Nairobi. My childhood was such a good one, with loving parents and siblings. I usually overcome hardships through the reading of motivational books and religious books, and this helps me focus on the goals of life. I started this business through savings from my previous employers, and my husband has also supported me in buying my first rent.

Nakuru is such a place where there is a convergence of cultures and, as such, you will get diversity at its best. When my children grow up, I would like them to be farmers, as farming currently pays and there are farms to do the farming. In my free time I usually swim and read novels that are motivating.

My Business

I operate a boutique. Here l sell ladies' wear and children's wear. My shop is located near the bus terminus where people take buses and taxis to Ravine and Kabarnet. This strategic location helps in the customers who come and buy from my shop, so the traffic to my shop is high.

I chose this business (and specifically ladies' and children's wear) because they are high in demand. Especially now that schools are open, they are profitable. The location of the business has also helped me in choosing the business.

I make profits that range between $120 and $150. This money I use to pay my rent and also other bills at home and take my children to school. The rest I invest back in the business.

Loan Proposal

Thanks Zidisha for the chance to be funded by lenders who are interested in our growth as business owners and the businesses.

When I get the loan, I will use it in the following ways. I will use $160 to buy the ladies' handbags and $38 on children's wear. This will be of the latest trends in the market which will clear off very fast. The rest of the $10 I will use for transport, as l source the clothes and bags in Nairobi and Mombasa markets. I have diversified to ladies' bags because, with the trendy ladies' bags, two-fold profits will be realized.
