I'm the first born in our family and live in Nairobi, schooled up to collage level at utalii collage in Nairobi, being a hotelier, I worked with several hotels at the kenyan coast in Mombasa, voi and Diani but after few years of working, I decided to venture in to business. I relocated to Nairobi and opened a shop from which i get my income. The shop is located in the Lavington area and i sell daily consumables because these are the things people need on a daily basis thus increasing my sales. I intend to save and grow the business and also venture into other money making enterprises.
I own a shop in Nairobi, I decided to venture into this kind of business because the commodities I have stocked are things we require in the daily today life. I have stocked fruits such as apples, oranges, bananas, avocadoes, grapes among others. I also sell milk, bread, soda, juices and other food items such as arrow roots. This is driven by the fact that people need 'real' food in this area of town and they are ready to pay any amount for quality. my average daily sales per day is about 120 dollars and my average expenses about 10. the profits from my business goes to the upkeep of my family.
I intend to stock my grocery shop with more fresh produce such as of apples, mangoes, oranges, grapes and fresh juices. This is because the demand of this products has gone up as due to the hot weather. This money will go to the daily purchase of these products because they need to be fresh at all times. A box of apple goes for 50 dollars, oranges 30 dollars and grapes 22 dollars. I also intend to stock minute maid juices as well as the Afia brands. These are on high demand and stocking them increses sale for even the other goods in stock plus their mark up is higher. This loan will improve my business and my life greatly because increase in stock will translate to increase im sales as well as my income. I look forward to your support in. Thank you in advance.
