About Me

I am 22 years old student and in business.I have done the business for about 1 year now.I go for my part time classes at Kisumu polytechnic where I study sale and marketing. The unique thing about the land and culture where i live is that the land is fertile and there is alot of fish from the lake. My hobbies are reading and making friends.

My Business

I offer milling services at my poshomill based in Kisumu manyatta estate where I sell maize and do milling. Why customers prefer my shop is that i offer affordable milling prices within the market and i offer quality and affordable goods compared to others. At the moment, the problem am facing is lack of enough maize stock now that there is drought. I would like to buy more maize in stock for my customers. I make about 300 US Dollars per month. With a loan from Zidisha am able to raise more money from sales of my increased stock hence leaving me with good profit to save and repay the Zidisha loan if am granted.

Loan Proposal

I offer milling services at my poshomill based in Kisumu manyatta estate where I sell maize and do milling .i also offer sales of maize flour. Why customers prefer my shop is that i offer affordable milling prices within the market and i offer quality and affordable goods compared to others and I also open early by 6.30 am and close late at 10.00pm . At the moment, the problem am facing is lack of enough capital to purchase maize stock now that the prices have gone up. I would like to buy more maize in stock for my customers. After my first loan I now make about 460 US Dollars per month. With my second loan I intend to even stock my other cosmetic shop. With this loan from Zidisha am able to raise more money from sales of my increased stock hence leaving me with good profit to save and repay the Zidisha loan if am granted.

    Dear Zidisha Team,
I havte tried to call his number but it is off. I have talked to Andrew Nyerere one of the invitee and he gave me Otieno's mum number. I have called Otieno's mother and she said Otieno is still at NYS and she is talking to some people to see if she can offset this loan. so she will call me next week.

    Thank You,

    Dear Zidisha Team,

I have spoken to Otieno owang'. Otieno is very sorry for his late payment and he is requesting for more time to pay end of October since there is another course he has to complete by end of this month. Otieno says I am lucky since he borrowed a phone to put his sim card so that he could call home that is how I came to find him. He says he is requesting for more time because he does not have alternative since they have pushed his course to end of this month hence he does not have any business that can now boost him to pay his loan. He says he used to pay when he was on business, but by the end of this month he will pay.

I have told Otieno a way on how to adjust your payment and also if he can find time to write to Zidisha.

He said he will find a way to do so.

    Thank You,
    Gladys Adera,

    Dear Zidisha Team,

I have spoken to Otieno Owangs Mother Elizabeth Owang' and she says, it as been difficult for Otieno to pay his loans because at the NYS (National Youth Service) where he joined, they are not allowed to stay with phones so communication as not been easy. She is requesting since Otieno is going to complete his course by end of this September, that is the fourth week. Let him come by that time and complete his loan since he just as to use his phone to do that.

    Thank You,

    Dear zidisha Team,
I have always not managed to find Otieno Owang on phone, I have decided to text him to try and pay his loan on time to qualify for the next level. I have also told him that there is a way that you can adjust your payment and pay as little as you can, provided you make your payments on time.

    Thank you

With the loan i have just completed i was able to purchase stock and sell maize flour to the neighbouring schools and also residents. The increased earning i got from the sales of additional stock helped me put up another poshomill which is about to start running.I intend to use my second loan to complete the new posho mill and start work immediately. This will double my income. Thanks to Zidisha
