About Me

My name is Samuel Muoka Ndili. I was born in Kitui county 48 years ago. Kitui lies on a semi arid region of Kenya where like other such areas, there is very little infrastructural development. I grew up in this environment where paved roads, tap water and electricity were unheard of. I got my primary and secondary education there and then moved to Mombasa to join Mombasa Polytechnic for a course in Accounting.

After passing my exams, I secured a job as an accountant at a small auto spares shop. The pay was not good and I quit after working for two years. I then opened butchery but the business went under after one year due to unfair competition and my inexperience. Through help from friends I stated a supplies business and that is what I am doing till now.

I am married with 3 children.

My Business

I supply stationery to offices, schools and other institutions. The items I supply range from pens, photocopy paper, notepads etc. I normally buy them from big suppliers and retail them at a profit. Due the long period that I have been in this business, I have built a good client base and it is this pool of customers that ensures that I have a steady flow of business.

I make an average profit of $400 per month and it is this money that supports my family. I hope to expand my business in future and serve a wider region since there is demand for these items in other towns as well.

Loan Proposal

If I get this second loan, I will use it as follows:

1. Buy a stock of 15 reams of photocopy paper at a total coast of $50
2. Buy Assorted envelopes at a total cost of $30
3. Buy a stock of assorted pens at a cost of $10.

From my experience, these are fast moving items and I will be able to sell them within a short time and make a profit in the process. It mark another step of my business growth.

To my esteemed lenders, I am glad you financed my fledgling business and I can now see the benefits of the cash injection. I was able to supply my clients on time and this increased the confidence they have in me. I am hoping to get more funding from you in future so that I do even bigger things. Thank you for your support.
