About Me

My name is Getrude Akinyi Otieno,34 Years old and a single parent to 2 beautiful girls - Koki and Hawi.

Childhood days at Magadi Soda were great times and they have shaped me into who i am now. It was a more reserved culture but the community was small and supportive.

I am an employee at an Insurance firm dealing with International Medical Insurance.

In the past 2 years i have tried to set-up side-businesses like Cereals and cooked food and snacks selling which are still not so popular but i trust God that they will soon pick up and break even.

My children are my source of strength and seeing them grow and prosper is my greatest joy. We have been through a lot of hard times together and many are the times we would get locked out of houses or them being chased away from school due to rent and fee balances or absolute lack. I foresee a great future for my girls and i am striving to make their dreams of being a Doctor and Teacher come through!

My Business

Apart from the side businesses i ventured in i also decided to advance my career through professional courses studies in Insurance. I have since completed the basic level and i am now approaching the advanced stage.

Advancing my studies will help me a great deal as it will open up opportunities that will enable me earn a good remuneration to enable me cater for my daughters day to day ever increasing needs.

I need your help to enable book for my upcoming Chartered Insurance Institute (CII - UK) unit exam, in October, which is about USD150 and deadline for payments is 02/09/2017.

The course is a requirement at my work place and also to all insurance opportunities. Having such a qualification will elevate me career-wise and also improve my life status and the ripple effect is true, my children's lives too.

Kindly consider.

Loan Proposal

With the Loan, i am planning to increase my stock of Pishori Rice and increase from 20kg to 50kg which will cost me about USD $50.00.

By increase my stock of which i have massive demand for and little to offer, i will be able to increase my sales and meet the demands of my various clientele. Of which am planning to start supplying to institutions and Hotels thereby, stock has to be in good volume.

My profit will increase by about 150%. These returns and my vision of going wholesale, incorporating other cereals and having a Grocery store, will create employment opportunities for the people in my community and Nairobi.

I request to be supported because I can't afford and cant achieve all these single handedly and also be able to meet full financial requirements of the business due to the high standard of living in my country especially around Nairobi where I run my Business.
