About Me

Hi all.
To start with,My names are Valarie Jebet Kipronoh.I was born and brought up in Baringo district,Kabarnet Division,Ekwalel Location,Riwo village. Iam a mother of one daughter and a dedicated wife to Mr.Kamanja.I am also a small scale business lady here in Losogwa village-Nayahururu.
During my education era,I had a good opportunity to learn by attending good performing school at the same village courtesy of my parents until I completed my O level education which I did my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) final exams.
Later on after my O level education,I relocated to Nyahururu to look for a job employment.I happened to get one at the Tree-top Hotel as a cook.I happened to be in employment for a two years and nine month period and later I quit the job so that i can concentrate with my own small business in agribusiness activities,since I had leased a small portion of land .At first,it was not business as usual for the reason being in a different field and the activities it involves.Now i am proud to be in this agriculture business dealing with fresh green produce.

My Business

After I quit employment,I had identified a different field which was in agriculture sector.The reason was that I realized the potential in agribusiness and the great demand it occupies compared to the current supply.The fact that most of my neighbors are in employments,this gives me a new strength to cultivate the remaining piece of land and I planted Kales and spinach,which they takes a shorter period of time before you start harvesting.The two produce,goes together in terms of daily demands especially here in my town,making the supply to be low compared to the production.
I have been in this agribusiness for the last four years now and I have been cultivating my land all year long.The climatic condition here is very friendly and humane,as we experience the rains almost throughout the year period.The vegetations I plant normally sells them in the nearby town which is cohabited with the villagers,University students and the Hotels.I have a daily main orders from the neighboring hotels and the villagers as well,making the demand of the green produce to double.The goodness with my vegetations that i normally plant my seedlings using the organic fertilizer although I use the herbicides from the local companies.
My monthly total sales at now stands at Kshs.26.200.After I deduct my total expenses plus the labour , I am left with an average Kshs.9.000.From the portion i had cultivated,it has made me to add the remaining part of land since the land is on a half an acre land,I am intending to cultivate the other part and plant the same produce as they take a shorter period of time compared to other vegetations.
Through the Zidisha loan,I will be able to buy the quality seedlings and the organic fertilizer in bulky and pay the laborers in my farm.This will translate a good harvest after a month's time and I will make me to feed the entire city and meet my daily supply targets as well as improve my family living standards from the profit I will get.Thank you all in advance the Zidisha team from making me realize my dream in agribusiness.Welcome.

Loan Proposal

Thank you Zidisha team .From the zidisha loan I am intending to expand my farming activities by purchasing more quality and certified seedlings from Simlaw seeds company at a cost of 22 dollars.Also I am intending to purchase Organic fertilizer at a cost of 34 dollars.The two items will help me improve my farming as well as improving my profit.Thank you all in advance for the kind support.Welcome all.
