About Me

I was born in Kiang'inda village, Nyamira county. I am married and blessed with 2 children. I love my family and they are always my main motivation. I pursued my education up to O' levels and moved to Nairobi in 2013 to look for employment. I got mostly short manual contracts that were very straining and not paying well. All along I always had the desire to start and grow my own business. After about 6 months, I decided to utilize my savings and venture into the shoe-polishing business. I still do the same business to date and I am derive much satisfaction from being my own boss.

My Business

As mentioned above, my business involves polishing shoes for my clients. Many people usually have no time for shoe polishing or want to keep their shoes shiny throughout the day. These are my clients. My costs are usually around $90 a month and involve buying 9 types of Kiwi shoe polish and creams($50), county council licenses($15) and miscellaneous expenses($25). I usually have profits of around $250 a month. I use my profits to maintain my family and pay school fees for my kids. I intend to expand my business and ideally have 2 assistants so we can serve more clients.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy more shoe polish and creams so I can have enough inventory for one more assistant. I will use 6 shoes polishes @$35 and 3 neutral creams @$15 and 2 new seats(one for the new assitant and the other for customers) @$50.
This investment will allow me to create employment for one person and I expect my profit potential to be boosted by at least 50%. I will greatly appreciate any kind of support you accord me. Thank you all

Dear Zidisha Fraternity, I have tried to reach Abnery Nyanamba regarding his Zidisha loan in arrears but all in vain, so yesterday I decided to call his community leader, whom indeed I had good time with for the discussion regarding Abnery and loan in due, His community leader told me for the 4 years he has known Abnery as a good guy and it is couple of months his has not seen him and also the 4 contacts phone number he has for him none is going through, but he agreed he will try to find out his whereabouts or maybe he moved but they both stay quite a distance. Thank you and i will keep intouch with him and if I came across any information regarding Abnery I will share with you.

    Thank you all,

    Regards
