About Me

My name is Beatrice Odido. I was born in a remote village in Homabay county called Oyugis in Nyanza province Kenya. I started my primary school in Oyugis Primary school , I did my final Exam {KCPE} and passed well. I was therefore shortlisted to join Kisii Girls High School but I lost my mother through a road accident and I was not able to join. Life became more tough since my father was jobless and He could not provide for the family. This situation forced me to think outside the box to earn a living and support my family. my mother used to sell second hand clothes and most of time, I spend time with her when she was alive and gained some experience.
This is now where i decided to continue with her business of selling second hand clothes. I have been doing this business for two years now and would wish to expand this business by adding stock since the number of customers has increased. I love this business with passion and would wish to be business entrepreneurs when they grow up.

My Business

I sell second hand clothes to low income people in my community at affordable price. This goods and services I offer is high in demand since local people are jobless and low income earners. I choose this business because it is easy to start with little capital and do not necesarily need experience to start only socializing and good relationship with people around, Most people from my community are poor and stay with less than a dollar in a day and this business will create employment to people who have passed problems in their lives like me and have self confidance that anything is posible when you work hard and be determed. The cost of this Business is 300 US Dollars.
The profits that I get from this business, i pay school fees for my kids, save for expasion of my business , provide basic needs for my kids and pay my Zidisha Loan.

Loan Proposal

Hi lenders, given this i will increase my clothes stock to maximize my sales profit. i will use 400US Dollars to Add clothes stock, 100 US Dollars to construct Business house so that it can accommodate more customers.
This business is Very benefficial to the people in my community since they can afford cheap clothes and also creates employment to them. my kids can now go to school without being sent home for school fees. Thank you. i expect given this Loan for my business profit to double from 30 Us Dollars a day to 50US dollars. Thank you
