About Me

I am married with 6 children. My children live around Kenya, some live in Vihiga. I stay with my husband in Vihiga. I am a class 7 graduate. I did social work for Vihiga Municipal Council in Vihiga County. Where I started my business to take care of my family. I was interested even to take care of orphans and needy children. I have 6 needy children living with me and my husband. I care for several orphans in the community and go to church every Sunday. I am part of the church leadership and work with the community every day.

My Business

My business is to operate a school. The school is called Lady Rose Junior School and is located in Vihiga on my home compound. My business it's important because I have to employ teachers and it is important to my community. It helps small children who are around to get their education early and not need to travel long distances. The risks that face my business is how can I get finances to develop and buy the apparatus for the schools building. I want to build more classrooms to help more children.

    Hi lenders,

Some schools opened next to mine. Unfortunately, most parents choose to transfer their children to the new schools. This reduced my income greatly as I depend on just the school income for my own livelihood. The few children who remained have also been paying their school fees poorly. Therefore, I'm finding it hard to service the loan.

I hope you'll understand my situation.

    Thank you.

I phoned Jane today at 8.30am . She says some schools opened next to hers. Unfortunately, most parents transfered their children to the new schools. This reduced her income greatly as she depends on same income for her livelihood. The children who remained have not had their fees on time. Therefore she is crambling with non-payment & finds loan hard to service.

She wishes to be repaying a maximum of about $20 a month. She provided me her login details for me to reschedule for her to the lower amount that she can manage.

To her relief it's almost end month therefore some parents may pay in. Also some of the new schools that took away her business are closing down.

    I'll now reschedule for her.

    VM Shehi.

      Jane,

I don't know how to reschedule. I thought 6 months seemed a bit aggressive. Focus on taking care of your school, and know if it takes 18 or 36 months on the $210 I put up, that's fine. I can't speak for the other lenders but for my funds, take your time. Just don't default otherwise it will ruin your future chances of getting low cost financing for your ventures.

God bless and thank you for your work
