About Me

am a female Kenyan citizen, a working woman and a mother to3 boys.am working with Boss Frt terminal ltd, this is aCFS company I have worked here for now 7 yrs.

I started school in the year 1981 and did my kcpe in 1989 being completed my primary level and attained A grade in my exams. then I went to murray Girls high school in the year 1990 and I finished my A level in 1993 and attained c+ in my final exams. I was invited to university but due to lack of fees in ended learning with distance learners @ British
council mombasa,taking a course of sales and marketing

I got married in 1998 and got my first son in 2000 who is in form 2 the 2nd he is in class 6 and the 3rd in class 3.
Due to an avoidable circumtances
I divorced my husband this is the 7 years, due to Alcoholism and irresponsibility.
I am now the breadwinner of my family .the money I get I use it for the education and also meeting the basic needs of my children's.

My Business

I got a lot of challenges while I started working...challenges in house rent.this is what drove me to start my own houses for rent business.
Here in Mombasa_ Likoni area there is a lot of potential in houses for rent.first I built my own small house.now I have built a 3 bedroom house for rent and also I av another plot for 2 units or even 4 bedsetter which can fetch for me good profit.
I have finished the walls of the 3 bedroom house .am remain with the roofing and plastering only for the tenants to go in.the 3 bedroom house will give me $150 or even$200 per month which is good profit.in which $100 or $120 I can add into my salary and pay for education for my children and also their basic needs.and part of the profit to develop the other plot which I intend to put 4units bedsitters house .with this one one bedsitter I can rent it @$ 50.which will give me a total of$200 per month.I have come notice later that bedsitters have good profit than 3 or 2 bedroom house.
the profit I get from the rent of the house I will use that money to pay back my loan.I wanted a loan of$ 1500 which will help me finish the 3 bedroom house.

I thank you Zidisha members very much for giving me this chance to describe my business plan.

first and foremost.when I get this loan,
I will be able to finish my 3 bedroom house for rent.
I will buy ironsheets and cement for plastering.sobas the house to be ready for tenants to go in.
secondly,the money I will be getting from rent I will be able to start another plot of mine and start building 4 units of bedsitter and from this I will be getting $150 each month ,which will help me paying the loan and also pay school fees for my childrens and my aged dad.
the construction will help local people to get some job of construction.
