About Me

My Name is Kennedy Munyao . I am the sixth born on 17th April 1988, in a family of eight. I went through the both primary and secondary school. After high school joined my former primary school in 2008 as a Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) teacher for about two years. Through small savings i bought a camera and started taking photographs and develop for students and other events within the environs.
I left the teaching fraternity and through my bothers support joined Data Networks Institute(DNS) college in Mombasa where i did my Computer Application Certificate and Hardware and Software Maintenance Certificate where i completed in 2010. Through my hardwork and good performance i was awarded internship in the same college in the Hardware and Software Maintenance Department. After four months in the internship the director recommended me to another employer who was running cybercafe and photography studio . I worked there for 9months . I decided to quit the job and start mine because i felt unused and needed to utilize some of my knowledge which idle at that place. My dream was to be an entrepreneur one day so that experience that pressure of managing an office and my own clients. I bought my first computer while in college and was able to do some job after job and also during my off days to earn an extra coin . The money I got from extra jobs I used to lend it to my friends who paid back with a little interest. The money lending business enable me to do more savings because i was still staying with my brother. I acquired a second hand copier through the savings of money lending.

I left to Malindi and started to bureau with my little savings i had. I started with repair and maintenance of laptops,desktops and software to expand my experience. I did this for about two months then i brought my copier and printer to expand business. I do repair laptops,Desktops,Printers, Typing-setting ,Printing,designing of Business cards,Logos,Brochures,Receipts and Invoices. My business has been doing well and now i want to expand it.

The environment has encouraged me to grow due to everyday opportunities that arise every time. The change of time leads to change of events and now i want to buy a bigger coloured printer which can allow me to cut down the cost of printing from other printers.

I am single and i live in town where i do open my small office from Monday to Friday and Saturday half day . I do pass my leisure time visiting my friends whom we share one on one about the business and motivational ideas. I like interacting with people in different business criteria to give me a morale to press on in life for better future.

My Business

I do repair laptops,Desktops,Printers, Typing-setting ,Designing and Printing of Business cards,Logos,Brochures,Receipts books and Invoices. I like my job because computers and laptops do develop problems every now and then either software or hardware malfunction . This job has sustained for the past three years with a monthly revenue of about USD 250 - 350 per month.

I use my profits to cater for office rent, office stationery,electricity and others Miscellaneous of about USD 105, my house rent,electricity and water bills of about USD100 and other saving to pay my school fees. Due to need to grow my knowledge I joined Digital Advisory Learning Centre (DALC) where am doing Advanced Diploma in Information Communication Technology (ICT ) which am entitled to complete by the end of the year 2015.

The reason why i joined college is to enable me to be able to acquire tenders of repair and maintenance in county government and other NGOs because i want to register a company after completing my studies. I like DALC because its fees payments its pocket friend and you can pay in installments of as little as USD 50.

Loan Proposal

I would like to buy a IT Support toolkit to advance and diversify my career. The kit contains tools necessary for networking, maintenance and support. Through your help i managed to buy a printer which eased my printing and reduced the cost.
The services I offer are demanding and I lack some of the essential tools to exploit these opportunities. My clients prefer me because I always give them quality services and of good measure, and I treat them with good customer service. The business is profitable, since it involves use of computers and other related IT services. I sell some consumables which I get at a reasonable amount from the sellers, therefore no intermediary between me and the sellers. I also sell at a good price compared to my competitors.
This makes my business favorable and gives me a conducive environment to transact my business and encourage a good number of clientele. Through the help of zidisha I managed to acquire a coloured printer and it has led to better and quality products. Am looking forward to acquire this toolkit to enhance me to venture fully in networking, network installations,support and maintenance to grow my income as well as capital.
