About Me

My name is Mbaye. I am single with no children. I have a diploma in marketing and communications. I am the oldest of the family, with a younger brother and two younger sisters. I live with my parents and the rest of the family. I launched my business because work is scarce in our country under the current context. To be able to make it, one needs to be ingenious and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

My Business

Since I run a competitive business, m stocks are currently quickly exhausted.I sell at fair prices since my products are local as opposed to those sold by others which are produced outside of Dakar. I buy the chicks are a unit price of 480 f. I feed them for 45 days, so I spend 48000f for 100 chicks and food. The unit price of feed bags is 15000f for a subtotal of 105000f. I also spend about 10000f on medication and various other items. Overall, the expenses total 163000f. Each chicken is sold for 2500f to 3000f. My profit after each cycle averages 90000f to 150000f per 100 chicks.

Loan Proposal

I would use the loan to increase the profitability of my chicken and sheep raising business. With the Tabaski Holiday around the corner, I would buy new heads to add to the total livestock making me more competitive on the market. I would be in a position to possibly satisfy the demand of many hotels and restaurants.

My Business

    Hello,
I am writing you this message to ask for a three month grace period, the time it will take for the chickens to grow and be ready for sale. I ask you to understand and present my apologies. I thank-you from the bottom of my heart for this loan you have given me and which permits me to create a lucrative buisness. I expect to be able to start selling my poultry about the end of March, so I should be able to start repayments in the month of April. If I am able to start selling before this, I will make payments earlier. I thank-you again for your understanding.

Hello my dear financial backers. I thank you again for the confidence you have in me. I wanted to inform you that my chicks are 22 days old and that in more that 2 weeks, they will arrive at adult age to be able to be sold and I hope that at the end you will be proud of the work that has been accomplished. I will post photos, God willing. For the moment, they are well fed and receive their vitamins. Thanks.

    Dear Lenders,

Today I was lucky to spend the afternoon chatting with Mbaye about the projects he has in the works and what he will be able to accomplish with this loan and hopefully more loans in the future. As the oldest son in his family, Mbaye assumes a lot of responsibility for his siblings and parents, a challenge that Mbaye takes on with pleasure. Mbaye is calm, kind and loves to laugh and smile, something I found out while enjoying lunch with him at his home and discussing topics ranging from the recent Senegal soccer match to holiday traditions.
As stated in Mbaye's profile he will be using the funds from your loans to expand his chicken raising business. Mbaye is already an established chicken vendor in his neighborhood and has so many orders he can hardly keep up with the demand. That is until now, because he plans to not only expand the coup he has at home but is also considering finding a larger plot of land in Malika just outside of Dakar where he could raise free range chickens in much higher quantities. Mbaye is not stopping at chickens however, he also has been raising sheep for sales during the holiday of Tabaski and he also raises rabbits. I was able to snap a picture of Mbaye next to his rabbit pen, found below. He sells his rabbits to neighbors and friends who keep them as pets, and occasionally sells them to restaurants that prepare rabbit, though he says the going rate at restaurants is much less than for pets, so he prefers to sell them as pets. The loan will help him to keep this project alive as well.
Mbaye is a very impressive young entrepreneur and with his academic background in marketing and communications he is an effective salesman with a book of business that will only grow with the loan you've provided. Needless to say Mbaye is optimistic and excited for what he can do in the future.
Also attached is a photo of his business card, "Chicken House"

Greetings to all the people who are interested in my profile. I would like to tell you thank you. In any case, it’s urgent that I receive my loan to advance in the field of livestock farming which I am learning well.
