I am Peter Maiyo ,I was born and brought up in east Pokot,the Pokot are a pastoralist community in Kenya found in the North Rift region. I went through High school from !995-1999 and passed with credit But my single parent mum could not afford my college Education.she was selling vegetables at a local Kiosk in a small shopping center called Churo which she used to Educate me and my 4 other siblings.
I did not go through college since my family couldn't raise the money to help me because my siblings were still on their basic education and i had to sacrifice to give them priority.
I am looked for "kibaruas"(casual jobs) which and if i got any,i made sure i made a litlle savng out of that "wage" i was given,i was disciplined in saving and thanks to that i got enough caital to start a veterinary products hawking business. which i saw market in it as very few people were doing it by then and the profit was good.
I married in 2008 and currently we are blessed with two children, a boy and a girl. we are helping each other with my wife in selling these products which has now grown into a shop small agro-vet. but we still hawk the products to reach out to farmers during market days and beat competitors.
This is a business that deals with selling tea leaves (here commonly known as ''majani'') in sachets to consumers,I buy different 25kg bags of tea leaves at special wholesale price from the following companies;Kenya tea development Authority and karirana Tea estates Ltd. each bag of 25Kg I will buy special wholesale price and sell again and again .mostly i make average profit of 40% per sale. A repetition of the same multiplies my profit which then I nject back to the capital to increase the sales volume. there is high demand of this black tea commodity in my rural area. Infact I have never had any dead stock since started this small business. i just need a capital boost and I will go places since the demand is close to exceeding supply.
with the first Loan I will add stock and purchase more stock for my Agro-vet. specifically with this KESh4000 I intent to Purchase 100 Tablets of Novidium/Humidium@Ksh40 for treatment of Tsetse infection called TRYPANOSOMIASIS which has become too common from Last month. I intend to sell it this way;

Selling Price:[email protected] Total cost after Sale Ksh 7,500
Net Profit: Ksh7500-4000=Ksh.3,500.
