I am a mother of 7 children 5 boys and 2 girls i was born in the rural part of western Kenya where life was very hard, my parent were very poor i had to wake very early and the first thing i would do is to take the 3 cows we had to graze and i would leave them in field, when i went for lunch after school the first thing i did before running home was to go fetch the cow and take them to a different location to graze and then i would go and collect them at the end of the day, after school i did all this because i was the first born of the family , i got into business when i got a chance to go to the city of Nairobi .
My business is very dear to my heart i grow African vegetables, like murenda , kunde, kanzira and i supplement with cabbages and onions but my big sell is the African vegetables, they are very affordable they are loved for their nutrition value, and the people who live in the slums love them because they go all the way even if you have large family ,i also grow these vegetables myself so i also sell them at the mt view market at a whole sale price and in kangemi market i retail them, my clients are people who live in kangemi and the slums are the market.
I want to use the loan to purchase manure for my next planting which will cost 4000 kshs, seed which will cost 2500, preparations of the farm which will cost 2800 kshs, paying of the workers to help me in the farm 3200 kshs this will enable me to have a better yields for my next harvest, this loan will give my clients timely harvest and of good quality, the profits will better my family.
