About Me

I live in Parcelles Assainies with my parents. I studied to become a midwife after getting my high school diploma. I have four brothers and two sisters. I decided to start selling goods because I am an independent woman and I don’t like relying on my parents after studying and getting my diplomas. I am married and was not able to find work in my line of study because it is very hard to find work in Senegal.

My Business

I would like to launch a business selling shoes and girls accessories. If my Zidisha loan is granted, I would like to go to Gambia (a neighboring country of Senegal) to buy merchandise I can sell back in Senegal because it is cheaper there. I will buy shoes at 6,000 FCFA that I intend to sell back in Senegal at 10,000 to 12,000 FCFA as well as sell purses at 8,000 to 10,000 FCFA and others I will sell at 10,000 to 15,000 FCFA.

Loan Proposal

I plan to go to Gambia, a country next to Senegal to buy cheaper merchandise that I will sell in Dakar at the unité 17 Parcelles Assainies market. I will buy 750,000 FCFA worth of shoes and 75,000 FCFA worth of women’s purses and various accessories for 75,000 FCFA. The rest of the loan will be spent on traveling costs.
I could earn 150,000FCFA on the bags, 125,000FCFA on the shoes and 175,000 FCFA on accessories.

About Me

My Business

Pour je peux gagner 150000FCFA, pour les sacs, 125000FCFA pour les chaussures et pour les accessoires 175000FCFA;

    I voluntarily chose to reduce my monthly payments and thus increase the length of my loan. So I ask lenders to understand I did this so that I do not have difficulty with the remainder of my payments.

    I invested in my business by buying goods in Gambia. I sold these goods in the first two months on the businessmarket. But I have problems with collecting all the payments for those sells. Currently I'm trying to recover that money, but it has has brought me problems for the rest of my project
