About Me

I was born in 1973 from a father originally from the region of Fatick. I am divorced and mother of one child. I live in Parcelles Assainies in unit #17 where I rent a room and work at the market in unit #17 where I am a merchant. I have pursued secretarial studies at the trade school called Delafosse. I hold my diploma, however, I was not able to find employment within a company which is why I decided to focus on my small business operations and became an entrepreneur. I have brothers and sisters and my father and mother who live in Guédiawaye. I chose to request a loan to Zidisha to fill my business with merchandise and have sufficient inventory to satisfy the demand of my clients and to also have a larger diversity of products. I buy products wholesale and resell them to have a profitable revenue margin, so that I can satisfy primary needs, take care of my child and help my parents.

My Business

I am a merchant at the market of Parcelles Assainies. I sell traditional African cloth, embroidery fabric, and tinted African cloth imported from Mali. In terms of the traditional African cloth, the embroidery fabric, and the cosmetic products, I buy them from a wholesaler and importer of the biggest market in Dakar the market of Sandaga to come and resell the products to my clients at Parcelles Assainies. This business sector is very competitive and I have developed a market policy based on quality products at affordable prices. With the loan from Zidisha, I plan to take a business trip to Mali to buy products that will allow me to generate revenue to reimburse the loan and for additional expenses including rental costs, electricity, daily community taxes. The remainder of the funds will be uses as investment funds to grow the business.

Loan Proposal

I plan to make a trip to Gambia to buy fabrics, shoes, jewelry. The first loan Zidisha used to acquire a cold freezer to sell ice cream and juice. This loan has been beneficial for my business why I have paid before the due date of my loan.

    Dear Lenders,

I apologize for the error on Madame Diouf's account. Her funds were disbursed on 1/21/2013 and the large payment was erroneously posted. This error is currently being fixed.

I thank you for financing my project, and I will wait to receive the funds that you plan to put at my disposal as a loan and hope to use it in my business that I began several years ago. It is due to a lack of means that I appealed to you, and I hope I will not disappoint you by sending you what I owe each month.
The loan that I have borrowed will help me increase my sales. I will buy some cloth, perfume, makeup and other things.
Thank you for your financial support.
