About Me

I was born in 1937 in the Ndoffane region of Kafrine, in the center of Senegal. I am Saloum Saloum. I have lived in this region of Senegal for my entire childhood, up until the age of 30 when I got married and I came to live in Dakar with my wife and we have three children of which one is a boy and two sisters. I have been a merchant since coming to Dakar. I have brothers and sisters and they live in Ndoffane. I am asking for the loan from Zidisha to develop my business and I hope to resupply my store with merchandise using the loan from Zidisha, so that I can be in a comfortable situation to cope with the competition with whom I share the fabric market.

My Business

I am a merchant. I sell fabric in the Large Yoff Market. I have a fabric store I sell imported fabric. My business offers diverse fabric. I sell on behalf of women and men and sometimes on behalf of tailors who come and make orders according to their business. I make a daily income of 35,000 FCFA and I sell fabric as retail. I plan to use the Zidisha loan to resupply the merchandise for the needs of my clients and I will allow them, with help from the Zidisha loan, to diversify my fabric to give my clients more choice. I pay 25,000 FCFA to rent the shop, in addition to daily taxes of 200 FCFA that I pay, I pay 15,000 FCFA bi-monthly in rent. My business is profitable and each month I am able to make 75,000 FCFA in profit and that is important in order to be able to reimburse the loan from Zidisha in the conditions as agreed upon with the loan which I hope to receive from you.

Loan Proposal

I am asking for a loan from Zidisha for my business. I will acquire embroidered fabric, dyed fabric, scarves, wax fabric, veil fabric, linen fabric for my women clients. The loan from Zidisha will serve exclusively to purchase fabric to sell. The loan, whatever the amount, will bring me a profit margin of 40% of the cost of the fabric.

je suis né en 1937 à NDOFFANE région de kafrine au centre du sénégal je suis saloum saloum je vécu dans cette région du sénégal toute mon enfance jusqu'à l'age de 30 ans où je me suis marié et je suis venu vivre à dakar avec mon épouse et nous avons trois enfants dont un garçon et deux soeurs. Je suis commerçant je vends des tissus au marché de grand yoff. Je dispose d'un magasin de tissus je vends des tissus importés. Mon entreprise offre des tissus divers je vends pour le compte des homme et des femmes et parfois pour le compte des tailleur qui viennent pour faire des commande dans le cadre de leur activité. Je fais un chiffre d'affaire jounalier de 35000FCFA et je vends les tissus en détail. Je compte utiliser le prêt zidisha pour me ravitailler en marchandises pour le besoin de ma clientèle et je les permet à partir du prêt zidisha de diversifier mes tissus pour donner à plus de choix à mes clients. Je paie pour le 25000FCFA de loyer pour le magasin, je paie en plus des taxes journalières de 200fcfa, je paie pour chaque bimestriel 15000 FCFA de loyer. Mon entreprise est rentable et pour chaque mois je peux réaliser des bénéficie de 75000FCFA et cela estt important pour prévoir rembourser le pret zidisha dans les conditions convenues avec mon prêt je souhaiterais recevoir de vous.
