About Me

I am the sixth girl of a family of 12 children. I live with my father who is a fonctionnaire à la retraite, these two wives and 6 other children. We live in a neighbourhood of Dubréka, a préfecture situated 50 Km from Conakry. This which makes that we are considered to be living in the top suburbs of Conakry. I am preparing for my entrance at university where I intend on registering in the faculty of medicine. This situation brings me to practice an activity that generates small revenue. I need some complementary resources to support my parents to support family costs and satisfy my certain needs. For this activity that I have business consists of doing the dyeing of Bazin. It necessitates : 1- the purchase on the market of white Bazin which needs to be dyed. I can also dye on request all other white fabrics ; 2- the purchase of colourants ; 3- the purchase of starch ; and qualified labour understanding the tailors and spongers of Bazin. The fabrics are cut into suits/sets pour men or women and truly dressed on the market

My Business

My business practices the dyeing of fabric. It consists of purchasing from the Bazin market where all other white fabrics which are then coloured by infusion with a natural or synthetic colouring substance.

Dyeing brings an added value to clothes in making them more beautiful and more luxurious. The dyed clothes and notably Bazins are very appreciated and are sought after for religious holidays, ceremonies of marriage and patronage, etc.

Moreover, dyeing Bazin necessitates colourants, starch and collaboration with tailors and spongers. The clients prefer dyed Bazins at our place here in Guinée car those coming from the Republic of Sénégal and Mali are more expensive and of very bad known quality. So I do this in their presence and they have even have the possibility of choosing the quality of Bazin and desired colour. The principal risks of dyeing are burns and staining of hands.

During a month I can make dyeing 10 pieces of Bazin at a rate of 450 000 GNF a piece. It is necessary of 60 bottles colorants at 50 000 GNF each, 150 000 GNF of starch and in all 600 000 GNF of labour. These 10 dyed pieces give 60 suits/set for men or women which are sold at 200 000 GNF in all so the basin can cost up to 350 000GNF. The total cost for dyeing of these 10 pieces is from 8 200 000 GNF for a price coming to about 12 000 000 GNF making a profit of roughly 3 800 000 GNF.

This profit is truly necessary to satisfy the needs of myself and that of my family. This is why I ask this loan of Zidisha for about 5 000 000 GNF equivalent to about 700 American dollars.

Loan Proposal

he loan will be for opening a showroom room of my products. For this I will rent a shop whose interior is furnished with wood and windows. I need to hire a carpenter to make the frames. I'm going to buy windows on the Local market. I will also recruit a salesperson who will handle the shop. JEVAIS also carry out electrical installation and security

About Me

My Business

Then I will go to Dakar in Republic of Senegal to buy a large amount of Bazin fabrics and dyeing materials for allow me to have a large consignment of products for the great feast of Tabaski, which is the feast of sheep and Bazins and which must happen in two months. Hello to the lenders
I thank you for everything you are doing for me. I would especially like to remind you that I am a student in a third year of medicine. I have lots of contraints and expenses. I live with my parents in the upper outskirts of Conakry at nearly 40 km away from my University. I have to come and go every 7 days of the week, because I live away from my business financed by Zidisha. And every day I leave the home from 6am. And in recent months I was in computer failure. This explains why I have not any time to comment. Thank you for your understanding .

    Bonjour Diza2722

      Hello Diza2722
Thank you for your interest in my business. Indeed I can ensure you that I've got a lot of opportunities with Zidisha. Firstly it is important to remember that at the time when I signed up for Zidisha, I was preparing for university. You should also know that I dye fabrics, that is to say I buy white bazin fabric that I dye. Each piece of bazin gives me added value. It's these profits from the dyeing business that I use to help my parents paying my transportation because the Faculty of Medicine is a day school and located nearly 50 km from my family's home. Conservatively speaking, Zidisha funds have provided me with profits of about 20,000 GNF [about 2.81 USD] per day, or about 600,000 per month. I use a quarter for my monthly transport costs and the remaining GNF 450,000 [about 63.32 USD] to pay the monthly repayments to Zidisha. You can see then that the higher the funds are, the higher the gains get.
      Thank you.

Hello to all the Zidisha team. Since I am making the first payment of the new loan now, I want to thank all the lenders who were willing to renew their confidence in me. I also encourage the technicians of Zidisha who spare no effort to satisfy our customers. However, as the first Zidisha borrower in Guinea I have an important point to make. The introduction of the connection with Facebook tends not to encourage customers especially in Guinea where few people have access to the Internet. Most of the friends I recommended Zidisha to are housekeepers/cleaners or sellers of used clothes and of condiments. Personally I provided a lot of effort to guide them to Zidisha and the connection fees are as much as around 50,000 GNF. If you take away this 50,000 from 100 USD you will see that the amount the borrower benefits from is practically nonexistent. Think about it and I would like to discuss it with my fellow borrowers. Thank you and best to all.

Hello ladies and gentlemen of the Zidisha team, hello my dear lenders, hello friends of borrowers.

It gives me great pleasure to give you my news and that of my company after a long absence.

Indeed the major occupations of the last month of the school year did not give me the opportunity to keep you informed about my activities. Also immediately after the closing of classes I went to Dakar, Republic of Senegal for my health check. Thanks be to God, I'm back in good condition. I am pleased to inform you that my company has continued thanks to my sister who took care of in my absence. Today I can dye 15 pieces of bazin instead of the 20 I planned. Now I am ready to pay the remainder of my loan early for me to have a good stock in anticipation of the next Tabaski (Eid al-Adha, Feast of the Sacrifice, a Muslim holiday) and school and university fees.

Furthermore I want to enroll my younger sister who took care of my business in my absence so she can also get a loan from Zidisha.

    Thank you!

It's for me a pleasure to give you news about myself and my enterprise. Since I recieved the money at the end of November, I was able to dye 8 pieces against the 20 I expected to make. This was because of an illness. However, the dye work I was able to do permitted me to meet my obligations to vis-a-vis Zidisha. Thank God I could do this.

I want to also inform you that I was admitted to the faculty of Medicine at the University. You will understand that the Zidisha loan has brought me great happiness.

Actually, I am in the process of explaining the Zidisha process to my fellow students and to the teachers so that perhaps they too will ask for a loan. I hope to bring Zidisha many candidates.
