Born and raised in the kegoye village in western part of Kenya, i am married and a mother of 4 children, Education wise i dint have much of this i only was privileged to finish primary school, being raised by a single mother who has 7 children it was not easy for her to provide education to us to our satisfactory level, the hardship that i had to overcome its was brought by the high cost of life in the city that almost brought my family to its knees, this is how i started my business, from the land that i was born from to the city Kenyans we are naturally loving and caring people towards others,my children they dream of becoming self employed but first they want to get their university degree. I very sctive member of the salvation army church and an official of the same church this is what i do when i am not running my business.
My business is a kiosk that i retail vegetables and fruits, green banana's, Irish potatoes, and sweet potatoes, this combination gets my business running, since i live the slums i must package them in smaller quantities, over they years i have been retailing, this year i started to whole sale the same products keeping with the demand is the major challenge after venturing into the whole sale business i have learned that there are many small vendors who want to get into business, by word of mouth through my fellow business lady's and men i have been able to see that whole is better, and this is where i want to go.I have a great clientele who want my services and i want to satisfy them.
The loan will be used to purchase two sacks of Irish potatoes worth 2000 kshs, two sacks of sweet potatoes worth 2000 kshs, and 2000 kshs will purchase 4 stakls of green bananas, this stock will enable me to earn a profit of 2000 per day on low day.
