About Me

Graduated from the university of Nairobi with an upper second class honours. After loosing my job, i started selling kids toys and shoes as a source of income. I have since grown and now sell diapers online too. To overcome hardships, I read stories of successful people and try change the way I am doing things in life. My hobby is socializing. I started my business from a chamma contribution. We have a merry go round, so when I received my share I directed it to buying my first stock. My child is still a toddler but I pray she becomes someone great.

My Business

My business provides kids toys, shoes and washable diapers. I use the profits to improve my home and reinvest in my business. Typical costs are at least 5000 depending on what i am purchasing. I choose this business because, children will always exist in our society. Therefore there will always be a ready market. Getting the goods however at times is not easy. The local providers at times take a lot of time in shipping the goods so there is some delay in supplying to clients. Washable diapers are better than disposable diapers because they are economical. They are the perfect alternative for disposable diapers. Kids also need toys to entertain them and improve their cognitive functions.

Loan Proposal

I have a shortage of 9 dollars to be able to get two dozens of disposable diapers. I need to top up what I have to be able to purchase stocks. I will get a profit of at least 100%. I will top up the 9 dollars to what I have and get two dozens of washable diapers. The diapers are alternative means to disposable diapers which are costly and cannot be reused, they therefore help one save quite a lot of money. To me, the profit is good. It helps me save up for my child’s education which she begins next year. I am also trying to see if it is possible to but land in two years’ time. Part of my profits will be directed to my SACCO account. With the dividends and interest plus the savings too, I will be able to purchase land hopefully. I want to own executive apartments that can be rented out. Therefore, with proper discipline in using the profits then I believe that I will become a successful business woman.
