About Me

My name is Nandégué Fossène Tou and I was born in 1977 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. I attended grade school in Banfora, Burkina Faso, and pursued higher education at the university of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. I have a Master's diploma in sociology and I currently live in Banfora, 450 kilometers from Ouagadougou. I live in the 7th sector not far from the Petrofa Station. I work for an NGO that manages natural resources and wildlife. My main job position involves raising awareness and training 17 communities living at the edge of the Comoé-Léraba National Forest and Wildlife Reserve in good agricultural practices and the wise management of natural resources. I am engaged to be married and I have a great passion for poultry raising.

My Business

I have a great passion for poultry raising, so much that I raise chickens on a small scale at my home. The good results I've observed over the past six months gave me the ambition to enlarge this business. It's true that I have a regular monthly salary, but this salary cannot accommodate the expansion of my new business. Poultry raising these days is a profitable activity, since chicken and eggs have become part of the daily diet of people in Banfora and surrounding regions. I am already preparing a new locale, which is being renovated so that it can accommodate up to 250 chickens, but I had to pause my renovation work for lack of funds. Still, I have increased my sales capacity through training courses in poultry raising. Normally, with an amount of 250 chickens, the cost is an estimated 500,000 FCFA (835 USD) and the monthly revenue 210,000 (350 USD) after five months of poultry farming.

Loan Proposal

The loan that will be granted to me will buy a part of the of the necessary equipment for poultry practice. It is 5 mangers, 5 troughs, 10 laying nests 2 scales (digital and mechanical) for the preparation of poultry feed.

About Me

My Business
