About Me

My name is Mr. Ibrahim Konate and I didn't have the chance to go to school as other children, but I only enrolled in an evening course at the age of 19. Thanks God, I manage my French now and I have reached an acceptable level in my community. I a professional bricklayer and I sell building materials.

My Business

My principal occupation is construction. I manufacture bricks and sell them. I also sell sand for construction and help locating building materials.
The reason I turned to Zidisha, is to increase my commercialisation of bricks.
A bag of concrete costs 6500 francs.
To produce 200 bricks, including sand, 32,000 francs are needed. One brick costs 245 francs, including transportation. 200 bricks will cost 49,000 francs.
It means each production cycle generates 17,000 francs and every day my business makes between 200 and 300 bricks.
The calculation of daily income (17,000 francs times 1.5 equals 25,500 francs) gives a monthly income of 76,500 francs.
All expenses deducted, I have 420,000 francs and this helps me face all the family issues.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan as my working capital for the production of bricks and their sale and to strengthen my core activity, the bricks' manufacturing. It will help me save time and increase profits of my business.

Dear all, we would like to apologize for the unusual delay in disbursing this loan. The reason for the delay is that our banking partner in Burkina Faso has changed its procedure for transferring funds to Zidisha members. We're communicating daily with the bank in an effort to expedite the disbursement of this loan under the new procedure.
    Best wishes,
    Alice

    Alice
