About Me

My names are Eunice Wangui Marunge, aged 27 years.I am a single mother to one child. I have studied Hotel and Catering and I also have a Diploma in front Office management. I have a passion in business which has seen me venture into several side businesses, apart from an 8-5 job. I am the third born in a family of three; my dad is a teacher and my mum is a business lady. My elder siblings include two brothers; the eldest is a business man and the other one is an accountant. I decided to venture into business as a first love seeing as I have always wanted to start and grow a business into a large, self- sustaining empire.

My Business

Apart from being in formal employment, I run several businesses on the side, that I would love to build to a capacity that would allow me to be fully self-employed. I have partnered with some like minded ladies (we are ten of us) to start a business in importing ladies' wear, majorly shoes (sandals) from India mainly. We have a contact person in India who sources the best and low-priced quality shoes that we can import and resell at a higher value. We started off late last year and imported seven (7) bales which cost us around $2,930, including shipping costs and all other miscellaneous costs. We already have a ready market in the country, as most ladies prefer the sandals, that are favored by the climate. It takes around two months to resell the stock, which we did, making $4,100. We are planning on registering a company, expanding the business to cover other lady wears and build capacity among ourselves and our families, as most of us in the group happen to be single mothers.

Loan Proposal

I would like to boost my current ladies' wear business, majorly shoes (sandals) which i have been running from my little savings and has been picking up well.I would like to boost my $176 stock to reach $350 by the end of this month.I already have a ready market in the country, as most ladies prefer the sandals, that are favored by the climate. It takes little time, around 3weeks to sell the whole stock. I am currently getting the sandals locally and sometimes imports at an affordable price in which i make very good profits.I am planning to be importing my own stock from abroad in future. I therefore make this humble request for funding for the requested amount($50).Thank you guys
