About Me

I was born in a typical rural Kenyan village where young people are unable to access information due to lack of computers and internet.I schooled in a day school which was six kilometers away from home.Every morning my schedule involved waking up at four in the morning and walking to school.I would imagine a world where young people from my village would be able to access information and be able to create wealth from their ideas without having to move to the city.
I was brought up in crippling poverty and one of my desires was to see young people in my village empowered economically to take charge of their lives and come out of hopelessness.I have mobilized young people who have formed groups and have been able to save money and started micro-business such as selling drinks, snacks and food in the village.Empowering these young people has been so inspiring.
I worked in a part time and saved money to register my business to be able to access formal business such as special government procurement for young people.I used to travel long distances to access internet to be able to access this information.
I really would like to help young people to be able to access information to help build their small business.
Unique business opportunities exist in my village due to a young educated population and increasing need for use of information communication technologies in virtually all business processes. One of those processes is access to government procurement for young people which is done online. These helps young people access special government tenders for special groups.
My hobbies include interacting with young people to discuss unique business ideas and have formed a business club in our village. The future is for the young and each day i live to empower them to be able to come out poverty, hopelessness and be able to create wealth.

My Business

I offer internet services to young people in my village and would like internet to expand my internet access point for young people and other members of the community to be able to access information. young people travel long distances to get information especially on small businesses and they would be able to do so at a small fee which I would use for repaying the loan and the supplement is ploughed back into the business.A laptop will cost 40,000 Kenyan Shillings(400 US Dollars) part of which come from my savings and rent, electricity and internet connection costing 5,000 Kenyan Shillings(50 US Dollars) a month.Revenue per day would be 1000 Kenyan Shillings(10 US Dollars) totaling to 30,000 Kenyan shillings(30 US Dollars0 a month.
I will use most of the profits for reinvestment into the business to expand revenues and to loan out to other young people to improve their businesses.

Loan Proposal

I want to expand my internet access point by buying a new laptop which will cost 40 US Dollars to allow me to travel around the village to places where there is no access to internet in my village. This will help in reaching out to registered youth groups who have registered with the government of Kenya for special procurement to special groups such as young people.Mostly this procurement is accessed online through the government portal. This loan will help me to increase my revenue by accessing far flung places without road networks but where young people have registered youth groups interested in special government procurement. The laptop will increase my profits by 50 Dollars a day enhancing my revenue up to 150 dollars a day in my earlier invested business.Thank you so much for funding my earlier loans.
