About Me

I am an education consultant and a private tutor for home schooling. Despite many hardships with finance I managed to get quality education courtesy of my guardian and well-wishers. I own Daem Solutions and have been a consultant for more than three years. I started my business after realizing that there is un-tapped market for home schooling and modeled professional exam guides when doing these activities as part-jobs at campus.

Due to increased demand from referrals by my clients, I used assistance of other tutors to serve the additional clients. I decided to make it a business in order to manage other tutors as the business grows. We have enabled 130 students to complete their studies and pass with the best grades without paying tuition fees or attending colleges and high schools. We have 70 students currently in the system.

My Business

I run a small business where I specialize on preparing model guides for college students who are doing professional courses in insurance, accounting, and marketing. I have a host of nineteen tutors for personalized home tuition.
So far,we have been able to help 130 students pass their primary and O-level exams and professional courses using our model guides. This year we manged to get seventy students in total due to generosity of Zidisha lenders, since we were able to create a website.

There is a growing demand for homeschooling and model guides for college students who are doing professional courses. Due to high cost of college tuition, many students opt to study professional courses privately creating room for me to sell them guides in order to prepare for exams.

The business earns me $870 per month
My expenses are
a) Mobile phone bill $35
c) My household expenditure $450
This will make it possible to repay the loan in a timely manner.

The theme of business this year is to set up an office and move operations from home to an office block where parents can visit therefore all profits are reinvested in the business. If I get the loan, I will purchase a laptop and a modem to assist in handling emails and social websites messages as the business grows. I will be able to respond to clients and engage them in a timely fashion to increase satisfaction.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders,
I am seeking a second loan to purchase a laptop and a modem in order to assist in handling emails and social websites messages as the business grows. The laptop will enable prompt responses to clients and timely engagement to increase satisfaction. Additionally, I will have an easy time coordinating tutors in different parts of the city. I have planned to expand the tutor business to a fully-fledged training consultancy as a registered company using the profit generated.

Our country, Kenya created devolved units of government to increase development in rural areas. The national government set aside 30 per cent as minimum tender quota for youth businesses. I am eying the same since training is the most important requirement for devolved county governments since they are in infancy stage. There is a lot of opportunity in capacity building training, which can be done by the tutors.

To actualize the theme of my business this year, which is, setting up an office and moving operations from my home, I need your assistance. I will be supplementing the loan with my business profit to set up a virtual office in my house as a starting point.

Here is a breakdown of the preliminary expenses of the project.
1. Purchase modem - $28.00
2. Purchase laptop - $219.00

Total costs - $ 247.00

    Dear Zidisha lenders,
Two of our clients have not paid us for two months now since their accounts were frozen following a ban by government on several NGO's due to Alshabab and suspected fraud.

    Dear zidisha and Lenders,
I bough a Samsung laptop and a modem. Now communication with my clients has improved very much and I expect the profit to be much higher moving forward. I have been able to reduce on phone bills with the tutors concerning the updates on students they are working with. I will be digitizing all paperwork to an organized record that can be backed up on Dropbox.

I purchased a domain name, paid for a hosting account and added some amount t create the website. Daemsolution website made our business to acquire seventy students and eleven more teachers are now engaged in tuition. We are now a team of twenty tutors. I am in the process of incorporating the business as training consultancy so that we can participate in government tenders for capacity building. God bless Zidisha lenders
Thank you Zidisha team and lenders.

I wish to apologize for the late payments.
One of my trainers was involved in a road accident and sustained serious injuries but is now stable. I did not intend to miss out on the repayment but circumstance forced me to attend to the trainer since he was going to attend to a new client an his relatives comes from remote parts of our country. I have cleared the first loan and may God bless you so much.
