About Me

I am Martin Ochuodho, a male Kenyan citizen aged 39 years old, married with two children and pursuing an early childhood education teaching course on a part time basis when the schools are in recess. I was born in 1978 as the 5th born in a family of seven children.

I grew up as a partial orphan after the death of my father. We were left alone with my mother when my father died. My mother did not have any steady source of income and this really complicated my early childhood life. I struggled through my education and did my final high school exams in 2010.. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree programme in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) which is a response to the need to have appropriately trained Educators in Early Childhood in my community.

My business involve teaching little children aged 3 - 11. I also help in the school as a classroom teacher. The school business is good since the community appreciates our work and they are very co-operative. I started the school business after I noticed the need in community as little pupils were working long distance to seek education from the neighborhood public schools. I am raising loan to enable me complete my college education through the profit gotten so that I can become a professional teacher. Here in Kenya running a school needs a lot of capital especially at the start up level. This loan will make my school increase its profit by 90%.

Loan Proposal

If I get zidisha loan I plan to spend 4,000 KES on learning charts and drawing materials. 5,000 KES will help me to buy Exercise books and pencils for the kids. I will use 2,000 KES on text books and 2,000 KES will be used to buy plastic chairs and two staff tables. The remaining 6,816 will be used on feeding program in order to sustain little children in school.
This will motivated my fellow Early Child and Development Education (ECDE) teachers to give their services effectively and also encourage little children to be in school and like the learning environment.
