About Me

My name is Ogora Hesbon. I am a farmer and an environmentalist. I love planting trees in a nursery bed and then I sell to the forest officers who offer a good price. On just a quarter piece of land, I manage to plant all types of trees like Cyprus, pine, rose Mary mahogany and others. I also plant fruits plants and flowers. My customers like buying from me because I sell my plants at a good price. I have so many customer some of who prefer to buy trees for their homesteads and also the local authorities give me orders for trees. I am proud to see that I do something meaningful to conserve the environment. There are even trees which I planted in the forest through the Kenya Forest service. Whenever there is a program to replant trees in areas that have suffered fire outbreaks, the respective forest official contact me to supply the trees of all types. This business of planting trees has generated income for me and enabled me to meet my daily food. I decided to do this type of business since the demand for trees is very high and also timber is essentially needed by carpentry workshops for constructing cup boards, beds, and other furniture. I am optimistic with the continued support of my lenders and zidisha that I will get bigger piece of land and plant many trees so that I can get tenders even from the government. Thank you for taking your time and consideration to look into my proposal.

My Business

Being passionate and an environmentalist, I love to sell tress from my nursery bed as my profession. Just the quarter piece of land provides income for me and sustains my needs. I keep on planting trees and fruits plants such as passion fruits, avocadoes, orange trees and many others. I sell my plants per orders. For example, when customers make orders, I supply about 100 seedlings per order. There are some types of trees species that fetch a good price per seedling such as 100 but most of them sell at $ 0.55963. For instance on last week, I sold 150 seedlings at for $ 83.9444 to the Kenya Forest Service. The cost of the seeds was as low as $ 7.83481 which means I made a profit of about $ 44.7703 after deducting $ 22.3852. This business has very low competition unlike crop farming which the market is dominated by middlemen. My job is unique because I have established my customers for one two years and the task requires little incentive as capital. In addition, it is easy to tend the nursery job and not tiresome. The only risk in this business is the land I am using to plant I got it on lease. I plan to buy a land soon so that I negate the fear of the owner taking it over. I am committing my plan to zidisha organization because I have read its terms and accepted to keep my lenders updated on my progress while making sure that I will return their funds in good faith.

Loan Proposal

I want to lease another quarter piece of land at a cost of $ 55.9629 and plant more seedlings. I am having demand pull and I am not currently able to supply enough seedlings to my dear customers. The forest officer has also order more seedling to plant in an area that trees were cut down after being mature. the remaining $ 55.9629 will cover field operation expenses such as purchase of seedlings and and trees bags which I use to put the seedling inside and so that they can be transported easily. I also plan to use $ 33.5777 to pay my workers and the remaining $ 22.3852 will be for miscellaneous expenses. Please give me this chance and I will be trustworthy to pay back the loan in time.
