About Me

I am the administrator in a college. I noted with concern that many students in my country do not complete their secondary education. This is why I started a KCSE private candidates center also offering computer studies. In our center, we give our students a chance to complete their high school education and therefore proceed with college or university education. Besides these, I am happy I have created employment because I have three full time tutors and one secretary. I am therefore contributing towards steering our country's development. The business is doing well but can do better if I got financing to add more computers and more furniture.

My Business

We are an educational centre specifically providing Tuition in Sciences, Languages and Computer Studies. The current number of students is 20 and we expect the numbers to increase. Our students are the major source of income that offsets our monthly expenditure of about Ksh. 80000. Any time collections cannot meet these costs, I go to my personal sources to clear the balances. Currently, I am seeking a loan to increase furniture and add more computers so that I can accommodate more students and improve service delivery. There is increased need for the services we offer at our learning center and we are glad we are contributing to providing knowledge. Our students like the personal attention they get, the conducive learning environment and the career guidance we offer.

Loan Proposal

Dear Lender,
I am requesting a loan of $150 (Ksh. 12739) to help me purchase extra chairs for my college. I run a Computer and Adult Education College in Thika Town in Kenya. Currently, the numbers are increasingly and I am seeking for someone to help me add more assets into the business.
The business is not a start up one because it is already in operation, only a financial boost is required to help us deliver more quality services. This will ultimately lead to more enrollment.

I have committed to paying back $25 (Ksh. 2000) a week. I intend to establish a good credit relationship so as to qualify for more funding in future.

I look forward to your loan.
Thank you in advance.

Yours Faithfully,
Matoke Kenani Hesbon

    Hi Matoke,
Can you please give an update on why you are not able to do repayments? I think lenders can appreciate this as we have not heard anything for a while.

    Thanks,
    Michiel

Hi Hesbon can you please ensure that George Matoke is current with his loan repayments. I talked to him on Wednesday and he promised to call back which he did not. I hope you will look into this issue. Thanks

    Hi Matoke,

After what mommachops11 wrote, I believe you owe an answer to all the lenders.
    People don't appreciate dishonest behaviour.

Anyway good luck with the business.
Let us know how it goes...

I loaned money to Matoke Hesbon, he did not want to go through Zidisha, I had given him money before out of the gracious warmth of my heart. He asked for a week extension, I had no problem doing that. It has been a month now, and I have not even gotten a response back from him. Please do not lend him any money on the side like I did, you will not receive it back. I am really disappointed in him, I have paid him to write me articles in the past, and thought we had a good arrangement, but he does not want to follow through with return of payments. Too bad he is starting out his business being dishonest.

That's horrible, please provide documentation so people we can believe you and take action.

We can't have dishonest people around that take advantage of people's warm intentions.

mommachops11, Your accusation does not make sense to me since Mr Hesbon is 'going through Zidisha' (contrary to your statement that he did not want to do that). Your own minimal profile gives no indication that you have ever participated in any Zidisha loans. I wonder why you say you made a loan outside of Zidisha. It seems a fair question to ask whether you are using the Zidisha platform as a way to contact entrepreneurs directly to charge high interest and benefit yourself? As long as Mr Hesbon continues to make on time repayments to his Zidisha loan, I do not believe he has any obligation to refute your claim, which you publicly presented without any details or evidence whatsoever, and so raises more questions in my mind about your intentions rather than those of Mr Hesbon.

    Hello Lenders,

Kindly fund Matoke's loan so that he can achieve his goal of spreading education across Africa.

He has already proven to be a trusted borrower by paying his first loan on time.

In my experience, it takes a couple days to show on the account. It does not, however, mark it as a late payment.
