About Me

I am married and i have lived in Ongata rongai for ten years , i have been doing small business in Kwale area of ongata rongai I started a business after not finding a job i borrowed a small capital from my family in 2002 where i sell electrical s and hardware accessories.with the earnings i make from the business i feed my family and educate my sibling and support my parents.

My Business

I sell basic electrical goods like bulbs ,wire, sockets, extension cables etc and hardware tools like hammer handsaws pliers measuring tapes and other small items. this is a profitable business as the goods are locally sourced and are daily consumables in the homes and construction sites. i operate in densely populated area where there is big flow of customers. In a month i buy goods worth kshs25000 and the monthly sales kshs 60000 getting a profit of about 25000- 30000 after deducting the expenses.

Loan Proposal

Lenders, this is my second loan from zidisha.after repaying my first loan which helped my small business very much .thank you all of you for believing in me.I am now asking for a bigger loan which will help me expand my business.this as by my plans i want to move my business to a new place where it more secire so that i can increase my stock
Yours sincery

Hey my fellow borrowers i hope all of us have benefited from ZIDISHA.Am sure each and everyone of us have a story to tell of how ZIDISHA has helped us to better our lifes socially and above all economically.I think we are all GOD fearing so let us be honest obedient and trustworthy. As we celebrate when we receive loans from lenders lets reciprocate by making them laugh while we repay on time without being pushed. In case of any problem forward it to the ZIDISHA TEAM to solve they will hear you. Please be answering their calls and SMS.Do not play cats and mouse game.Be genuine be open let your business be known.Lets be borrowers of high moral intergrity and GOD will bless us.Apart from ZIDISHA tell me any where else you can get loan without strings attached.I do urge you to be faithful.LONG LIVE ZIDISHA.Thank you.

Dear Lenders, my name is Bayle and I am a Country Liaison Intern with Zidisha. Please note that a minor error was made in Mr. Mbugua's repayment schedule, and a payment was erroneously entered for August 16th. Upon removal of this transaction, the amount that had been credited to your lender accounts will be reversed and will reduce your available balances accordingly.

Mr. Mbugua- keep up the great work in making payments! Best wishes to you.

Greetings lenders! My name is Neil DiMuccio, and I am a Client Relationship Manager with Zidisha in Kenya. I am currently visiting borrowers to learn more about them and support them with their Zidisha loans. It is my hope that this work will build bridges to better connection and understanding, and that Zidisha and its borrowers will increasingly grow, communicate, and support each other.

Recently I was able to visit Simon in Ongata Rongai with fellow Zidisha staff Traci. Simon is a man who had worked in construction for many years, but eventually decided that the risky and back-breaking labor wasn’t a good idea. So he decided to start a shop selling construction supplies. He stocks his shop based on demand, and finds that measuring tapes, padlocks, tools for digging, and ball-bearings are some of the most-requested items. Simon does a good job of bookkeeping, and has detailed records of all that he buys and sells. Working Monday-Saturday, he claims some 3000 Kenyan Shillings in profit per week from this business, which is not very much to live on in this town adjacent Nairobi.

Simon said he was eager to repay his first loan, so that he could get a larger loan in the future and further increase his stocks and business. It was a pleasure meeting Simon, and he was very kind to take an hour out of his day to speak with us. We wish him all the best!
