About Me

Am Leah Nyambura from Eldoret,Uasin Gishu County,Kenya. I grew up in Molo and went through education in Molo district. My Childhood was fairly good,my parents were both farmers and they Irish potatoes to see us through school. I went to St.Peter's Girls for my Primary school and later joined Michinda High school for my Secondary education. After my secondary education after attaining grade C,i was not able to proceed to the University. Since my parents were struggling to raise my other siblings,i moved to Eldoret to look for a job to sustain myself. i worked as a shop assiatt for a while and i managed to save Kshs. 25,000. I left my job and started hawking cosmetics, during my hawking time i was able to get a small shop where i started up the current cosmetic shop. In the last 4years i have been in this business,i enjoy what i do,though sometime the business is challenging because most people here don't buy cosmetics regularly,but the business keeps growing and it has helped me raise my 2kids well. My firstborn son would love to be a doctor,and am really happy about that and i try my best to keep him in a ample environment to enable him achieve his dreams.My other child is still too young,but when i look at her,i can see an upcoming PR guru,she murmurs alot to people. I love reading inspirational books,and my current book is 'The Power of Positive living by Norman Vincent Peale. it is a very inspirational book and am picking very positive info from it.

My Business

mI have a cosmetic shop business and i also deal in kids shoes. The cosmetic business is in demand because my shop is next to a sallon,most times my customers are ladies who come to visit the salon.my business is good because in a day i can sell upto Kshs. 5000,where in this my profit is about Kshs. 1100. I make a net income of Kshs. 20,000 to 30,000 a month. My profits are used in paying house rent of the house i live with my kids,paying fee and i restock on the stuff i need in the shop.

Loan Proposal

When i receive this loan from my lenders

1. I will buy lipsticks - 15pcs@ 40 =600 and resell @60shillings giving me a total of 900, the profit made will be 300shillings.
2. I will buy lip liners - 10pcs@20 =200 and resell @ 35shillings giving me a total of 350 and the profit will be 150 shillings
3.Eye pencils -30pcs@7=210 and resell @20shillings giving me a total of 600 and my profit will be 390.
The Eye pencils are very first moving items with very good profit margins.
