About Me

I am 29 years old, married with two children.i am a librarian by profession and a proprietor at kahawa west market.my parents died immidiately i finished high school so i could not join college immediately i hard to look for menial jobs to sustain my self.so i worked in the informal sector selling second hand clothes for about three years, until i was able to raise school fees for my college education.i joined kenya polytechnic on a part time basis(evening classes) and doing my business during day time so that i could continue supporting my education.after the completion of my certificate, i got a casual job in kenyatta university library but i could not do away with my second hand business.i continued saving money so that i could boost my business because i did not want to be in employment for long.in that way i got a nice shop in kahawa west market and i continue selling my second hand clothes and i continue to support my family. love soccer and swimming and am an ardent fan of business documentaries. I also watch football on weekends. I have come from very far, from one time being employed in supermarkets to being a library attendant.

My Business

i sell second hand clothes in kahawa west market that is where i have secured a stall.mostly i deal with ladys' and children clothes and by targeting this group of people the demand for these clothes get high.i chose this kind of business because by the time i was starting it,it did not require alot of capital to start it and also it did not necessrarily require a stall so i was not budgeting on rent because i started by hawking door to door.My only typical costs and revenue that i incure monthly is the city council charges, electricity, stall rent and i have employed one person whom i have to pay a salary at the end of every month.i use my profits to pay school fees for my children, we also depend on my profits for the upkeep of my family and to pay fo my bills i entirely depend on my second hand clothes business

Loan Proposal

Am intending to use the loan to increase my stock so that i can make more profits so that i can be able to maintain the market.I will highly appreciate if my loan will be successful. Thanks to zidisha team as they make the decision.
