About Me

Dora Marfowaa is my name. I am 20 years of age and I am a Ghanaian. I live at Fawoade in the Kwabre East District in the Ashanti Region on the Asante Mampong Highway. When I was leaving upper primary to the Junior High School, my mum who has been single parenting me lost her job and I had to do something to help myself through school. i had a sister who used to sell recharge cards for phones and phone accessories so I decided to work with her and get something which could take me to school everyday and that turned out to be a success. I was able to cater for myself through the first year of my Junior High School until my mother regain her job. Now I have completed Senior High School and because of economic hardship, I couldn't continue to the university. Starting something on my own has always been my philosophy, so from childhood after gaining experience in the work I did. I have the intention of starting a that same business with the little I have since its the one I have greater experience in, and build upon it through hardworking and determination so that I can make it to the University .

My Business

Recharge cards (the airtime we load unto our phones) and phone accessories (phone housing, batteries, phone covers and screen protectors) has always been in high demand on the market. People always wants to make calls and protect their phones from damaging because phone is very expensive these days, it has actually led to the demand of these goods very high on the market and it is a very lucrative business.
if granted the loan, 40% of it will be used to purchase bulk of the recharge cards since its demand is extremely high on the market. 35% will go into phone housing and screen protectors. And finally I will invest the 25% into phone batteries too because its demand on the market is not as high as the recharge cards and the housing and screen protectors for phone. Whatever profit I get from this business will be used to reinvest into the business since its a new business.

Loan Proposal

I am once again grateful for the opportunity, once given the loan I am going to invest the whole money which is almost $100.00 (GH 319.00)into the purchase of mobile phone recharge cards(airtime). This is because, from past experience, the recharge cards are the ones which are bought quickly than any other commodity and it's all because people are making calls day in and day out. My profit margin is on commission basis, 1% profit on every card you are able to sell. Now since I have established the link with my neighbors as a seller of the recharge cards, I dont need to go out there, they are always coming to my house to buy. Thank you and hope my loan gets funded soon.
