My name is Josephine Ponda am a business lady, i was born and bred in Lusaka, Zambia and i come from the family of 5, being 3 boys and two girls. However, i started primary school at Kanyama A primary school and completed my high at Kabulonga Girls. After completion the following year i got a scholarship through our church and i was sent to study food and nutrition at one of the reputable institution in Lusaka.Later i did apply for job at one of the hotels as cooker and i was successfully accepted.
Nevertheless, after working there for 1 year and 6 months, i resigned on good grounds and started my own restaurant in the central business of Lusaka and the business is doing well. The land of Zambia is peaceful and rich tourism industry.I hope my children to get better education, i wish them to study medicine.
I ran a restaurant in the Central Business of Town and provide food staffs, such as local foods such as Nshima, vegetables, fish, chicken,t-born, beef stew, chicken& chips, meat pies all range. The demand is very over whelming for these food staffs i sale.I choose this business it is the fastest means of generating money and it is profitable. My typical cost is ZMW 700.00 and am able to generate the profits of ZMW 800.00 weekly as profits. However i use the profits to grow the business, pay school fees for children and also home improvements.
I ran a restaurant at the black market, i have been using the old cooker for sometime now, i need to change it and buy a new one.The cost price for the new cooker is $170, however this will help me prepare more food staffs for my customers and grow the business.
