I have been a part time web designer for almost 4 years. I developed passion for Web development after my KCSE results - 2006. After the results, I was astonished when my Dad informed me he had my result slip from the internet. I started to wonder how???? henceforth I developed passion and interest for online stuff. Unfortunately my dad couldn't afford to pay for my web development studies. Bear in mind that he is not a computer literate. Later, I traveled to Nairobi to visit my Cousin. Within the town, I got a friend called Robert. He is a director of a sort of college and hearing my story, he sponsored me for a simple web development course - HTML. I have used the knowledge to develop simple simple websites. E.g www.onaniekenya.com
I thank God for the success he has given me in terms of getting regular designing opportunities. It is my aim to also come out as a successful Kenyan Web Developer both locally and internationally.
I am currently working as an ICT technician but still interested in furthering my studies in web development. I basically earn a living from repairing and trouble shooting both computer hardware and software.
My regular income is from weekly jobs from different individuals and entrepreneurs like cyber cafes. If given the loan, I will use it to further my web development studies which is a passion so that I can move to the next level; web development has so many levels. I strongly believe that this assistance will help me to spread positive messages to Kenyans and the international community through my skills. I will keep you informed on the progress of my venture.
I have been struggling to study online on some web techniques and this loan will be a Godsend to help me achieve further my studies with the help of a tutor. Web development has many positive things in our day to day life. E.g it helped me get my result slip online. With that I believe I will benefit people from all walks of life. Due to the fact that I am already. The main reason why I do computing is to make a difference in the society in kenya which is still under tender ages in technology especially in rural areas as well as to earn a living. I have been able to raise funds to train in other aspects of web like graphics design. Kindly consider lending me this cash as it will go a very long way into helping me fulfill my lifelong dream and something am passionate about.
