About Me

My name is Ann Mburu age23 years, born in a family of 5 siblings and a 3rd born in the family in a village known as Kivumbini Nakuru where I grew up and also live. I finished my o-level in the year 2009 at Ngorika high school in the year 2010 January to march same year I joined a computer school and managed to get a certificate on the same. I later joined college in the year 2011 where I pursued a course on Diploma in Business Administration at Rift valley Institute of Science and Technology Campus. I completed and graduated on the same course in the year 2013 and later joined school where I am currently pursuing another course, French and International Computer Driving License(ICDL).
Am currently working at a property management and consultancy agency called Villadom Ventures.I came up with an idea of putting my own business which I am still running. Working as an employee and at the same time handling my own business is not quite an easy thing.
The reason why I chose to work tirelessly is because am trying to make funds to support my business which is still so down to take. I deal with cosmetic and beauty stuffs and have an aim of reaching out to a wider range of people targeting more customers around my area and even outside the location.I wish to grow a great entrepreneur and at my age I know i can.
This business is situated at my home place where competition seems to be quite stiff. I wish to hit the market by being the dependable supplier but the challenge is there are no funds to lift up the business. My most challenge being house rent, electricity, food and most of all transport which all this I have to cater for.I wish to expand my business to a greater level.

My Business

The name of the Business is GLORY COSMETIC and BEAUTY SHOP.Dealers in all types of beauty materials. The name came to me as an expression of Gods glory because of where I have come from and the mighty works he has done to make me bring live to this business. I started this business on February 2013 through my little savings.
I got inspired to operate this business first because of my own idea to open it, second because I found of a great supplier who offered to supply me with the materials at an affordable price. Despite the business being out of town I felt that I have my potential customers from my place and I believed that determination and hard work would bring more customers even from the outcasts of my home area.
The biggest challenge is that I have to market the business exhaustively mostly through my friends.Every person handling a business is always determined and have a target to hit for a specific duration of time, I have a target but the business is still so low and not coming up too well as expected.My intention is to add value to the business by expanding it and by so doing my customers will have a wider access of the items they need. This is being achieved by working tirelessly, handling my business and at the same time working somewhere else so as to raise funds for my business. It’s not something I like doing but am doing this because I don’t want the down fall of the business.
Another challenge is on the expenses handled this includes house rent, electricity, food and most of all transport where at times I have to offer my time to go for the deliveries which is much expensive compared to the service delivery.

Loan Proposal

I will use the Kes 2000 of the loan to purchase new set of lady's weaves and Human Hair to add up in my inventory since the current stock is limited and the demand at my shop is high. the balance Kes 1300 to buy pair of Earing and Bracelets. which i know during this festive season their demand is always high.
